After finally getting the 1.02a patch to take, I started playing once again...at least trying to. Here are the issues:

1. Memory leak causing impossiblly slow load times.
2. Extremely choppy game play (no kidding, 1 frame every 2-6 seconds) even after dumping temp files, defragging, and shutting down all other programs, including firewall and anti-virus, disconnecting from internets.
3. Game not responding to keyboard or mouse,though both work normally wen game minimized.
4. Unpredictable crashes.

My system exceeds the recommended reqs for the game, so what is the problem? Is such horrible performance going to be fixed, or did I waste my money? This sort of thing makes me think twice about buying another game from the same programmers, in spite of how wonderful the game might otherwise be.

Can you provide your detailed system specs? I have never experienced the issues that you are facing. Hopefully a little tweaking will help you out.
