That's $100 total with there being only ONE of those two games I play
I'm out $100

I buy a game $50
I don't like it and/or don't play it anymore
I sell it back for $20 and use it to buy a game for $50..costing me $30
That's $100 total minus $20 credit I still have ONE game to play
I'm out $80 instead of $100 with the same ****ing end result

yah I could do that true....but it's more a pita then just taking it back and getting credit...ever heard of convenience..sure in the end I'm ahead less...assuming it even sells for more then I'd of gotten..but then I have to wait for it to sell, go to post office and package it...pay for shipping to ship (even if it's included in price sold)

or I can just run down to the store and trade it in and get my new game immediately...

Money is convienience, more money is more money.  The money gets deposited in your account before you ship it.  Can buy whatever you want before you ship even.

they have better trade games on that list of trade-ins. and it's actually 2 games for $40 off FFXIII or God of War 3. personally I'm trading in DWG2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. I don't play either of them, and I could actually buy them off gamefly.com for $18 and $16 respectively. if i do ever decide to buy them again, I'll still have saved $6. win/win

I'm not saying your method doesn't net you more money..however it takes more to accomplish...going the trade-in route vs selling on ebay or a like site..both have it's advantages and disadvantages..it's up to the person to decide which is better.

and doing either/or has NOTHING to do with arguing trade-ins as being pointless...as anyone with intelligence can see it is in fact worthwhile.

When I bought my 360 (even though I'm a PC gamer by heart consoles are nice) I traded in old games and a system I no longer played...I got more then enough money from the trade-in to buy the 360 and 5 games with it.....in my opinon I came out ahead because I had played those old games/systems to death and with the new ones weren't going to touch them again....so I either let them sit and collect dust or turn them into something useful to help me get something I wanted...in the end no extra money came out of my pocket and I saved money.

when you buy a new car do you trade in your old or keep it? exactly.

Solely to annoy as there is no other possible explanation why someone (who shall remain nameless) would come into forums and only rant about why they don't like it, why the characters are bad, why the game is half-finished, why it isn't an RPG blah blah blah. I just ignore them or don't take them seriously. Works like a charm

But why would I go downtown to a store when I can everything at home?  Hell next day shipping is something I can live with.

Also your logic doesn't work with Cars, this is a highly mobile product that can be shipped for a low cost

Is there an ignore option on these forums? If so I need to know where...because even when I try to ignore the posters I know are here just to **** for the sake of ****ing I still end up reading half their posts while scanning through the topics.

If you own your own busniess and already have an Ebay Store, then sure.  Otherwise you lose the value of the shipping right off the top (no matter who pays it), AND you always take the chance that whoever ordered it is gonna charge back the purchase and screw you with their internet extendable "HAHA" stick.  It's not a sale big enough to warrent reparations, and unless you have the stability of an Ebay store and the oppertunity costs of ignoring the issue become larger than cutting your losses.

So Ebay is actually the stupidest choice for 99% of the people who could be reading this.

I keep it. I have 5 cars, a truck and 2 motorcycles. I live in an apartment and take most of the blocks parking. I did however sell my old bicycle. But never traded in anything, you get ripped off big time (especially on vehicles). Variety is the spice of life, and I live it up! I am however flat f***ing broke...
