Your getting two different things confused. For the scones (grandma called em tattie scones) you boil and mash the potato and cook it up on a gridle/The pancake variety are grated and fried in a pan (first mixed in with some flour, egg, and my family likes grated onion and garlic).
Both are very tasty.

we fry tattie scones (normally on the web people dont understand if i sat tattie xD) <---- is scottish i know exactly what they are (the garlic and onion sounds good tho)

infact we fry just about bloody everything

including pizzas ....

and choclate bars .... i dont understand that one

My point was tho tattie scones and Beenies (in this family thats what we call potato pancakes. Some call them Laytes I think) are not the same. There is a difference and a wooden spoon was used to teach me the difference
You dont mess up calling an old pollocks favorite food the wrong thing. I miss my dziadzio's cooking but damnit he took his cooking secrets to the grave.

The GoW series is boring as hell, and 13 is a huge risk after how bad 12 was.  I'll rent it before I consider dropping $60 on it.
