When you create a new thread in the forums it does not show up in the "New Forum Posts" box on my "What's New" page.  However when I reply to my own thread that does cause it to show up.  Hence you will notice I have a tendency to reply with a similie immediately after starting a new thread.

 

I took a couple of screenies to highlight the issue however the album import has squished them to them too much to really see what's going on:

The "***" in the external links is "a s s" (without the spaces)
