It sounds very much like him and its a great pleasure to hear such thespians doing the voice acting for a change. A lot of game voice over work in the past had a heavy American bias which sounded very silly for medieval campaigns. When you accost an NPC its like, 'Hey man good to see you!' or 'Come back again soon!' after dealing with a trader.

Ehh.. No. It's Barry Ellis  - This game has an IMDB page, you know.

Geraldine Blecker lists Shale as her work on her references page.

Edit:  Perhaps one actor did the lines the first time, then when they reincluded Shale they used a different actor.

Hrm, I did a bit of digging and I can't find anything official on this. Various Wikis and other user-contributed sites such as IMDB seem to contradict eachother. Can anyone provide any REAL info?

But is it in the Summoners credits?

Heya Sloth. Beyond the credits (and a post I read a couple days after the release by someone from Bioware on the old forums...can't find that anymore), here's what I found-

Interesting links, I had seen her references previously but that doesn't necessarily mean the work was included in the game. I rather assumed that it was her ( i mean, it is obviously a female vice IMHO) and the voice sample you link certainly seems to support that. I think my big question is, who the hell is this Barry Ellis dude and how did his name ALSO get plastered all over as contributing to the same character.

That is odd. Wonder if someone, somewhere, misread something, posted it on IMDB, then onto Wikipedia (they have IMDB as the reference for the name) and it just went from there?

There is a separate Stone Prisoner section in the ending credits. She isn't listed in the main part.

If I remember correctly, the developer you mentioned earlier mentioned something about redoing the character. When they did that they switched voice actors, dumping Barry Ellis and hiring Geraldine Blecker. So I guess you could say that the IMDB listing is not entirely wrong, it's just out of date.

IMDB.com says that the voice of Shale is Barry Ellis.
