Liara: Ignoring any sexual relationship we had+ Not joining my team to save the galaxy just to catch the Shadow Broker+ Making me do her god damn dirty work for her+ getting no brownies= A pissed off and dissapointed Shepard

Tali= Sweet and Innocent+ Will do anything for you+ awesome drone+ dem hips+ making brownies= A very happy and horny Shepard

Therefore by using this simple math formula I have calculated that Liara is a total **** and Tali wins.

I don't think Liara is evil, just really upset over the cruel treatment of her friend. At her core she's still Liara.

I've no ill will against Liara in 2. She's obviously become obsessed with revenge and has lost perspective, but its not as if she's irredeemable or anything.

Neither is better or worse than the other game wise. the only answer your going to get is someone opinion on them, which shouldn't matter to how you play your character. basically decide for yourself, there is no wrong answer.

(your question makes me think you are a troll)

Well, I always loved Tali, disapointed when I couldn't build a love intrest with her in the first game when I was playing it back in 2007/2008. Wish came true when Mass Effect 2 came and me and a half-a-million fans got what they wanted. So yeah, I can easily say Tali, never liked Liara.

Liara--responsible for getting you body from the Shadowbroker, and giving it to Cerebrus. Drell "boyfriend" was captured during the raid to save you. She feels guilty for giving you to Cerebrus, and taking the chances to bring you back to life, while getting her friend captured. So while she has some issues, she is the reason you are alive now to go after the Collectors, so I give her a break, and hope to help her in ME3.

Tali--Sweet, until she pulls a shotgun, charming romance character that overall I really like. Waited 2+ years for you to wake up and notice her, and dives in to help when her own mission is completed(remember she made you wait to recruit her too).

Take you pick, and enjoy the game, play multiple times and go for a different love interest each time.

I tried to romance Tali in ME1 before I figured out you couldn't, then obviously went for it in ME2. She was always my second favorite character after Garrus. I always love the character of the unassuming badass, that's what always made her stand out to me in the first game. Liara has ridiculous mind powers, Wrex is an ancient battlemaster, Garrus is an ex-military veteran crime fighter, Tali's just leaving home for the first time and gets whipped up in this business completely by accident, and she manages to kick just as much ass as anybody else on the team anyway.

Aside from that, romance wise, I also think it's really easy to empathize with that whole feeling of caring about somebody and not knowing if they feel the same way. Everybody's had that happen to them at least once. The Tali romance is that same awkward feeling and the joy that follows when the answer turns out to be yes. It's heartwarming and I think it's probably the most well done romance sidequest in a video game I've played.

sorry, I still call bull. She knows the odds are suicidial and she still picks avenging Feron rather than being at my side...she made her priorities clear....she can stay on Nos Astra with Feron if she finds him.....I sure am not going to recruit her in ME3 unless the plot cannot advance without her

I imagine it just comes down to your own personal preference. However if I had to choose I would say Liara is the best LI simply because the role she plays in Shepard's revival makes a lot more sense when she is your LI.

this.

but also i think that if we had first met liara as she is in ME2 i would like her better. it just feels like she went from being so sweet and innocnet to being cold and mean and somewhat emotionless in matters not pertaining to the shadow broker.
not cool.

I'm really not into aliens. But if I had to choose between Tali or Liara, I'd tap Tali 'cause she is a 24 years old virgin for Christ sake.

I'm probably gonna end up going back and doing a Liara romance for my final playthrough for ME 3 since I've recently come to find Tali a bit repugnant (although I haven't finished the comic series yet so we'll see how that turns out)

Liara had the sense of adorableness, excitement and whatnot in ME1, in ME2, her character personality does a complete 180 spin. Tali at least stays sorta the same, as far as her character goes. that and she has a sense of mystery about her, which I find intrequing.

Tali.

I kid. It'll be an interesting ME3 when shepard must choose in "The Bachelor" style.

Liara's evil clone just isnt the woman I liked in ME1. She is a completely different person.

Yeah they did change her a bit too much in ME2. You would think a race that lives 1000 years would not change so drastically in such a short time.
