1. Hes an excitable little child! its hilarious to see him biting and shouting his way to a kill!

3. Both Wrex and Grunt simply say "Shepard."  something which makes me chuckle everytime.
4. Grunts armour is so cool! its smoot sharp and sophisticated, which is cool for a krodan.
5. Grunts voice is rather suave, whereas Wrex is all grizzly and badass, they would make interesting conversations.
6. Instead of a solid lump of bone on his forehead, grunt has loads of little scaley bits, think that looks cool
7. He looks up to Shepard like a father!
and FINALLY
8. His eyes are faily cool
as i come up with more ill post, what do you guys think about grunt and wrex?

I agree with you - I prefer Grunt. But a post like this is probably a lost cause. Most people seem to prefer Wrex, and won't even give Grunt a chance.

Wrex was one of a kind. I love Grunt, but for me NO character in Mass Effect universe is even close to Wrex.

Wrex was in general a cooler character and looked awesome. Grunt's head bones doesn't look like a red hat which Wrex's looks like (I though it was clothing during my first ME1 run), and for some reason I can't stand Wrex's voice. It just sounds weird. It's an overall tie.

Grunt and Wrex are both equally awesome. Anyone who thinks Grunt is less of a Krogan doesn't know Krogan. And my Shepard knows Krogan. Grunt is just younger, and is the future. Wrex knows this, I can clearly see Wrex passing the torch down the line, or having Grunt be like his little Korgan battle brother.

This! Wrex as the big brother and Grunt like the little brother. They are both awesome, have their unique badass diversities and so on. I vote em both to be squaddies in ME 3, but to be realistic. Its just perfectly logical and understandable tyhat Wrex have a gigantic role in making the krogan population stronger than ever in a good, more diplomatic way.

I find that Grunt is one the best squad members in mass effect 2 but i just prefer wrex over him.

Wrex is everything Grunt is combat wise, plus biotics. He is also far more entertaining with a black sense of humor, self awareness, and an ability to see the big picture unlike most Krogan.



Grunt on the other hand is two dimensional cookie cutter krogan. He has no distinctive qualities whatsoever. There should have been a sign on his tank that read "Break Glass in case of need of throwaway token Krogan squad member".

The thing is, Wrex has more of a defined personality, that's why a lot of people say that. Part of what makes Grunt so interesting is that he changes over the course of the story. Wrex is like Worf from Star Trek. He's more Korgan than the average Krogan is, like Worf was more Klingon than the other Klingons.  He's essentially an idealized version of them. Grunt IS an idealized version, but he's still a youth and the journey is something I want to be a part of.

No. Grunt is okay, but Wrex is by far the cooler character. Wrex is also way more powerful. I mean, come on: Immunity, Barrier and Krogan regen means that Wrex will never die. Period. Plus, Wrex has biotics and the best armor in the game.



Wrex > Grunt in every way, though Grunt is still pretty decent overall (but he is no Wrex!)

The biotics are what make Wrex much better than Grunt.  Wrex could tank and had CC roles while Grunt can just tank (or, in a pinch, dps).  Both Wrex and Grunt can take hits like no other NPC but Wrex could also use throw/stasis to lockdown units; hence, I think Wrex was beneficial to a squad than Grunt.

Plus Wrex was more quotable. Take him to Noveria and discuss the neutron purge with the VI there. Best interaction ever!

Krogan battlemasters are the number ones in the krogan society.

Nearly all bloodpack leaders are ones.Even uvenk.

But grunt isnt a biotic.He would loose a fight against a battlemaster just because his enemy has warp.

Grunt is the only decent looking krogan from a aesthetic standpoint. Really dislike the design of krogans in general, Grunt being the only exception.



Love the character of Wrex though. But Grunt surprised me as being a really interesting character as well, he has so much potential it's not even funny.

I respect Grunt as a solid squadmate, no matter what mission or difficulty level.

But in terms of personality I didn't care for him. He was basically an intelligent attack dog.

I like them both, but I actually prefer Grunt. Wrex had some hilarious dialougue, especially the elevatortalks, but Grunt has that youthful fire in him, that the other krogan lack. He is young, energic, and looks up to Shepard as a father figure, just like Garrus looks up to shep as some sort of elder brother. I like that.





Wrex was cool, and hard not to like, but I killed him off two times, and played through the game without even picking him up once. Too much of a straightforward guy, nothing that really draws you into the character.



Grunt > Wrex.



Plus, I absolutely love Grunt's awkward little jokes.

I prefer Wrex... but Grunt is awesome too, they are very alike. That's why I would like to see Okeer in our team. He was a different Krogan.

Wrex only has a small part in ME2 -- and still has a couple of the best lines in the game:

"You look good for dead, Shepard."

and this isn't s direct quote, but:

"Ah, the old days. Going around the galaxy. Seeing new things. Killing them with big guns. Good times."
