I think Grunt is a little overconfident and cocky, as most young krogan probably are. He can do some serious damage, but he could never match the experience and skill of Wrex. Also, Grunt would be looking up to a grizzled Battle-master like Wrex, which means even someone who likes Grunt would have to respect his opinion and like Wrex more.

No it doesn't.  Not at all.  My friend is a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers, but that doesn't mean I have to like the Jonas Brothers...  If it did we would not be friends anymore.

That is a completely different context, and you were probably missing the blatant comedic poke I was making at people who like Grunt.

I like both characters.

I feel sorry for Grunt though ... after he was taken out of the tank he was put into the orbit of "The Shepard" ... It's bad when the best battles / battlemasters / etc. are at the start of your life and you effectively have no hope of improving upon those.

Oh, I don't think Grunt has a self-esteem issue.

I don't think it's a self-esteem issue. Grunt probably figures this is just an everyday sort of thing and boy is he in for a letdown :)

Gotcha. What's that he says at the end of the game? Something to the effect of "What do you do once you've killed the most dangerous thing in the universe?"

Honestly I am not a huge fan of Grunt. People have pointed out his genericness which to some point is true. He is a tank born and therefore is not only in an interesting situation, but also has no personality, because he basically just entered the world. I don't hold that against him, but it doesn't mean I have to like him. He is a good character, loved his loyalty quest but overall to me he is very bland and forgetable. He's lines can be summed up as "I'm lost" "I'm confused" or "I want to kill something". He is more interesting in his loyalty mission, but so was Jacob and I still find him forgettable.

Overall the most obvious reasons why myself and so many others prefer Wrex is because he has a much more defined personality. Unlike Grunt he has had life experiences. He is also somewhat of an outsider in his manner of thinking compared to other Krogan, and the level of badassedness goes off the chart, not just because he is strong(which is Grunt's entire shtick) but because he is experienced and you know he'll get **** done.

"If we just destroyed the most dangerous weapon in the galaxy, that leaves... us"

What do you think he meant by saying that? Is it more of a ''we are destined to fight eachother'' thing or a ''we are the toughest in the galaxy, no one can mess with us''? I would like to get some insight and opinions on this.

I'm not sure either, Dru. I get two meanings from that. One's the bravado thing-- "YEAH! <punches fists together> We're the most dangerous Krant in the Universe!" But I also get a bit of "We need more opponents who are worthy." Either way, Grunt (and I!) will be disappointed if he doesn't appear in ME3. Shep is his battlemaster, it would take a lot to get rid of him.

Wrex was one of a kind. I love Grunt, but for me NO character in Mass Effect universe is even close to Wrex.

Indeed! One of the greatest moment in ME2 for me was when I went to Tuchanka first time ith a Paragon Shep and I heard "Shepard" by Wrex's voice.

Grunt is ok, cool and funny guy, I like him, but still Wrex is just better in all ways. I would have them both on ME3, that would be awesome.

I agree, having both Grunt and Wrex as squadies in ME3 would be awesome! You would be the toughest in the galaxy with those tanks at your side.

Wrex and Grunt both have a place in the Mass effect storyline so I like them both.

I get giggles just thinking of the two of them on a mission.  Wrex would be the adult dog who has to grab the puppy by the throat and shake him from time to time.  Tough and cynical teamed up with young and gung-ho.  The Reapers should be quaking in their...whatever Reapers quake in.

Grunt should be a biotic. All krogan leaders are that and he was even made with collector tech.

I'm interested to see how Grunt develops or has developed by the time ME3 is released.

Of course Wrex is a more defined personality, he's been around since the krogan rebellions and maybe even since the Rachni Wars (I've read somewhere that krogans reach an age equal to asari or get even older) and has probably seen almost everything in the galaxy that you could possibly run into.

Unlike Wrex, Grunt would never get beat up by a girl...

Grunt doesn't have biotics because he was never intended to be a warlord, but a template for Okeer's 'master clan'.

That said, comparing the two characters because they're both krogan is absurd. They have different roles in the storyline and are drawn from completely different archetypes. Zaeed is closer to Wrex than Grunt is.

I've never felt more rewarded than meeting Wrex again on Tuchanka, but "Shepard is my battlemaster. She has no equal" came very close.

Harbinger wishes he was as badass as Wrex. He's angry at the universe because his girlfriend left him for the badassery which is Urdnot Wrex.
