What Jowan did to Lily was soo bad that i will not forgive him.

Jowan was just misguided. He thought if he dabbled in it, he'd have a better chance of escaping with Lily. Unfortunately, he never thought about the consequences. Since he didn't think he went far enough into the study of it for it to really matter. He was probably planning to use it if templars ever hunted them down.

Lily broke her vows to the Chantry. I'd see her crimes as being a bit more serious personally. She went against everything she believed in, and dragged him down with her. Jowan did what he did to survive. Lily did what she did because she was unable to keep her feelings to herself as she was supposed to. She broke her personal codes and beliefs. She would not have been an initiate, and have taken vows if she did not whole heartedly believe in it.

You can also say youve never seen a problem with it and he talks like he detests it so either he is sneaky or he only learned it for him and Lilys benefits.

Regarding the source where I got the Nathaniel Howe character...it's the Prima's Game Guide.

Use the Companions chapter to get into the minds of your trusted
companions, learning what secrets they can teach you. Find out how to
unlock them all for your party and how to make each the ultimate
combatant. Companions covered include: Anders (mage), Justice (warrior),
Mhairi (warrior), Nathaniel Howe (rogue), Sigrun (rogue), Velanna
(mage), and one faithful companion from Dragon Age: Origins.

Here's the link for the complete text (minor spoilers).

Justice being the "secret" (?) character I also mentioned.

Who the hell is "Justice"?
I doubt that's a darkspawn name.
And it's not a normal name either.

Hmmm...intriguing.

We get to choose of 2 possible rogues? Or warriors..? I wish I hadn't checked that link..

Either way, I doubt we'll get a chance to catch 'em all.

No.

If Riordan, Maker forbid, returns from the dead, I'll personally put the bastard 6 feet under.

Well, he decides to "Rambo" the Archdemon. At which he fails miserably, might I add.
Also, how do you know he's not a bastard? Image IPB

Who the hell is Justice?

I felt bad for Riordan. Mostly because he has the type of sexy voice that makes me want to jump him. But uh.. Yeah.

I wonder how he's related to Howe if his name really is Nathaniel. Perhaps he's a nephew, a cousin, or an older child.

Oh I have nothing against companions having totally different opinions as mine. I disagreed with various viewpoints my compansions had. My two favourites were Morrigan and Alistair, two very different characters (and both I never fully agreed with). Of course, I hated Sten merely for saying I couldn't be a grey warden and a woman, so he sat at camp the entire time. Then again, I didn't like Wynne and her know-it-all patronizing of me, but she was in my party every step of the way (due to wanting a healer).

I like various personalities, but the son of the man who killed my human nobles family? Not sure I'll let him be in my party so I guess he'll be one at camp character the entire game through. I suppose I should be thankful, Sigrun looks really cool so she'll be my token rogue.

Would be cool if there's an option to kill Howe's son... now that'd be fun!

I loved Wynne.  My only regret is they didn't really allow you to appreciate the Circle of Magi and not the Chantry supervision.  My pc has a fond regard for the Circle's tradition and contribution to the furthering of mages, but a strong distaste for the general disposition of the public at large and especially Templar.

Hmmm, so it is a Howe. It does not appear her is in Howe's immediate family.

He had better talk fast and have a high coercion skill when my HNF meets him. If he even dares mention that the Couslands deserved it...

Bleh, maybe now instead of killing him outright, I'll keep him around just to insult him (if possible) mercilessly troughout the journey.

Interesting, so he is a Howe.

He might just be getting dragged along everywhere with my HFN and Orlesian, as verbally combative companions usually have the best development ( Sten, Viconnia, etc ), although I'm going to have to **** him out a bit for KILLING MY GODDAMN GUARDS in the PA Comic, as I don't take kindly to that sort of thing.

Also, "Justice" is interesting, and sounds like something a Darkspawn would call itself if it became intelligent, or partially intelligent, perhaps a Disciple, or maybe we find a Darkspawn in the process of becoming a Disciple, and can choose to leave it alive and it joins us? Who knows, will be fascinating to see what it is however, I doubt its a Human/Elf/Dwarf though, as none of these races are so barbaric to use terms like Justice or Honor as names, while I could really see Darkspawn doing so, especially with what we know of how they view The Architects plans.

I like the skirts! I always hated my rogue's armor in WoW, there is no way i could move the way a rogue should move in all that armor. clunky shoulders, skin tight pants...blech.

If this guy is a howe, there is going to be a reckoning. Especially if it's the comic guy, "I wonder what crimes they committed" when talking about the Cousland murders...Well I'll tell you...trusting his friggin relative.

I agree. I don't think my vengeance is over yet. He could be a wonderful guy, but the Howes still owe me a debt of blood.

So your going to take it out on Howe's son in law?

Half the people on these boards scare the hell out of me, and I hope none of them ever enter politics, killing random people for petty crimes because they look at them funny, killing people's relatives because they pissed them off, and blowing up useful buildings to the war effort because your boss is a dick are not exactly normal sane activities.
