Anyone figure out what this secret is in the Mage Tower?

I would also like to know what's supposed to happen, it SAYS the ritual starts in the common room, but clicking on any of the statues results in getting zapped. . .what am I failing to do?

*SPOILERS!*

you need to get all the notes.

then activate statues starting in the common room IN THE RIGHT ORDER.

last statue to activate is NOT in the common room

Reading through the notes will give u a hint about the right order to trigger them

Since there was only 3 statues I just trial and errored it.

It releases "something in the lowest levels of the tower. Since I haven't finished the tower yet I don't know what it is.

Ok I just saw the post by Deckus. Interesting, I'll have to go back and try I guess, but the problem I have is that it doesn't matter which statue I try. They all shock me. So I'm missing something I need to do before that I guess.

it's: bowl, sword up, sword down, shield (that's in the room with the stairs up)

apparently i have all the notes, and i can see the order to click, but i am getting zapped by every statue too.

If you are getting zapped by every statue, it is probably because you are expecting some confirmation that you interacted with the statue.



The problem is that if you click the proper statue first, you don't get any notice that you actually did so you probably figured that it was just one of the problems with the game pathing so you click the statue a second time and it shocks you and you go WTF.



If you click on the statue properly, you don't get a whoosh effect or anything. Nothing actually happens. So click on it once and move on.

yeah, what kelston said is correct, i forgot that there was no confirmation. I picked up on that when i worked out the first statue to click on.

click once, nothing

click again, zap

click again, nothing

click again, zap

click again, hmmmm. maybe i should go to the next statue now? hehe

Yup, this is exactly what I did and exactly what I said.  LOL.

How can you tell if you picked up all of the codex things for the quest?  I've cleared the tower top to bottom, only one chest I can't access is on third floor or in the Templar Knights quarters.   I know doing this quest unlocks the door to the basement of the tower.

I figured out which statues, but they still are zapping me.  I've been a few hours on this.

Indeed--that was so annoying and misleading, especially since the little summoning quest in that same tower *does* give you "whoosh" sounds when you click on the right objects.

once you've click the statues go down to where you found the other mages and clikc on the basement door. a demon appers kill it and you get a nice 2H sword

The quest needs you to touch the statues in the right order.
Doing so will unlock something on Apprentice Quarters where you will fight with a demon and get a special Greatsword, Yusaris.

i'm not finding the "shield statue room" you keep saying with the stairs up, but I'm in the circular room w the tranquil where the abominations were and it doesnt appear to be there
