The codex talks about frigates have buttloads of DEW(Direct Energy Weapons) for protecting cruisers and dreadnaughts from Disruptor Torpedoes so why didn't the Normandy bother using those in the last fight against the Collector ship if you didn't upgrade to the Thanix Cannon?
I know it's a knife fight range weapon and all, but the Normandy was practically on top of the Collector Ship.
I just realized something about the Normady in the last fight

Even if Guardian system fired, how would you see the laser beams?
Still, Guardian system is for attacking small targets, like missiles, not capital ships. Armor on those is too strong to overheat.
