I'd assume that Alistair will return in Awakenings so long as you either made him king or went off to rebuild the Grey Wardens with him. I am pretty damn sure that making him king is not the only way he'll be able to make a cameo.
alistair will be a companion?

I'm wondering more about Morrigan. She hasn't been "in love" with me for the ending before (third run through) but she likes to disappear otherwise.

What are you wondering about Morrigan? If she will return? I think the devs said something about her not returning for Awakening, but I could be wrong. I think there was only one game where she was not completely my friend. And I've never romanced her through the game. Only enough to get the achievement.

Im gonna miss alistair.... he was my best friend the whole game wouldn't go anywhere without him. sad that in awakening he acts like he doesn't even know u or acknowledge that u 2 ended a blight together =/

Only met him once in Awakening and he does acknowledge that you two ended the blight together. I could even give a remark about him needing to travel with me again.
