So, they doubt your sanity, they question your motives, they question the existence of the reapers... and nobody seems to give a **** that you've just risen from the dead.
It's like "Here's a guy who is known to have drifted off in to space and died. Let's sweep that under the rug and pretend it never happened."

You make a good point but that doesn't change the fact you were "dead" for two friggin years and 80% of the people you meet act like it's no big deal.Frybread76 wrote...
To be honest, no one actually saw your body except Liara and Cerberus, correct? So to everybody else you were really just presumed dead.

In fact, all of the ME world so far is in fact Shepard halucinating seconds before the Eden Prime beacon melts him to ashes.

One arguement I can think off is by the time the others see you they already heard about the rumours (Ash/Kai), So we do not see them in shock because they already know. Meeting you only confirms the rumours. So they are a little more well adjusted. Tali being the only one that did not even hear a peep (since Cerberus did not leak it to the Migrand Fleet and she kind of meets you soon after your return).

Here would be the reactions of the crew when you meet them (as I see it):
Mordin: Interesting. Must run a few scans to see if Cerberus made any alterations.
Garrus: Fair enough.
Jack: And? You want a ******* medal?
Grunt: You are indeed strong. I will follow you. (or whatever he says when you recruit him)
Zaeed: Ya I did that once. That really takes me back.
Tali: *shock*
Samara: Your incredulous stories have no effect on me. I have already sworn an oath to you, why do you lie to sway me to your side?
Thane: That is incredible, but why does this matter?
Legion: We know this Shepard-Commander. It is part of the reason this platform was sent out beyond geth space.

I don't know about you but, I don't think Hana Shepard(for the spacer Shepards) would be satisfied with an email.

I like to think ME2 is like Life on Mars, we're just living in the speck of time before time in the big dream world.
In fact, all of the ME world so far is in fact Shepard halucinating seconds before the Eden Prime beacon melts him to ashes.
If the events of Mass Effect end up being a Prothean induced dream, I promise to incinerate all of my ME game discs. Fortunately, this isn't Dallas...right?
Patrick Duffy...NO!!!

Not a dream, just a halicination that lasts for eternity in the milisecond before Shepard's face turns into a Squishy.
Glad I cleared that up

Shepard: "You mean.. the Reapers.. beating Sovereign.. never happened?"
Anderson: "Hm? What's a Reaper? No, you must've been dreaming."
Shepard: "It was.. all.. a dream? No Reapers are coming?"
Anderson: "That's right, you're back in the real world now. No Reapers or anything, just our brain slug overlords. No need to think with a brain slug.. here.. I have one for you too."
Shepard: "Ahhh! Ahhh! AHHHHHHHH!"

.. well, considering that the video shows Shepard falling towards a planet and his body would've disintegrated upon re-entry...
...just file it under "plothole".
