Traveler - "Set foot in every area in the game"

What exactly does it mean by that?
Im currently in Korcari Wilds doing the Last Will and Testament qust.

Does it mean in areas like that i have to explore every route and turn the map from completely black to a proper map for every location like that?

Every building, every selectable map icon, not random encounters. Includes things like Bann Franderals Estate for the Stealing/Stealth quests.

I don't think it includes optional quests. I got it without ever doing the mercenary, collective quests, or crow quests, which didn't seem to go with my PCs character. It finally clicked in for me when I went into a tiny side room in Fort Drakon that I must have missed on previous playthroughs..

What are Chasind Trail Signs?
I've seen these pop up in Korcari Wilds and have become rather curious about what they are/there purpose is on the map

They are a quest that leads you to a little loot stash. Find them all and you will then be able to find the location of the stash. There is an item in the stash that I use the whole game so it is worth it to find it. In your options menu you can turn on markers so that the quest markers even show up on areas that you haven't explored yet. This might be useful to you.

Traveler checks by tracing codices, not % of world explored.. So even if you do go everywhere, you have to pick up a codex entry where possible.

What about the codices that are early in the game?

I *really* don't think this is by codices, and I'm quite sure that it's not based on the really optional sidequests. I got this achievement on my first playthrough, which was quite completionist but I killed Master Ignacio during our first meeting and never even saw "Slim" to start Crime Wave.

If this board had a truly useful search function, we could find the other thread where someone actually went into the Toolset info and game code, and output the list of what the "must step in" places were. The only one I remember for sure is the second floor of Kaitlyn's house in Redcliffe, which is definitely on the "not part of a side quest, but only anal-retentive completionists are likely to go there" list.

Yep, just took a look around through Google as well, and I *still* can't find it. But I do know for a fact that it can be done while missing some codices, even those that might seem "important".

You just need to go to every area that pops up an "unlocked" message. It's easy enough to do in one playthrough, don't worry about it.

Basically just go everywhere... I got this totally random in my very first playthrough... So I don't think it could be that difficult. :P
