Okay that is both disturbing and kinda of cool at the same time. It does make the whole sapient machine made of organic life a little more horrish. Wonder why they switched it to a mega-Terminator/Contra Boss.kraidy1117 wrote...
Its in the art book, orginly it was going to look like a huge baby with tubes and everying and looked more organic then the final design.
They wanted it to look more like a human, so sadly they ditched the old dsign which was a bad mistake. The orignal design was creepy, most likely it would have been fought like the Throien where we have to cut the tubes off (not like the Human-Reaper in the game with those little tubes, the concept had huge tubes all over the place) it just would have been cooler, more epic and less stupid.
It would have been EXACTLY like the Thorian. Hence they changed it.

Ya they changed it to something that was cool but after 5 seconds it was just stupid. I said it looked like it was gonig to be fought like that, it could have been fought diffrently. but alas it never made the cut.

If the thing was a metal core, then where did all the sludged biomatter go? Lubricant? A warm and gooy inside? That is a lot of sludge we see there. Don't say it gets mixed into molten metal, molten metal is so hot it would breakdown all organic bonds and you get the basic elements of organic chemicals. So all you get is metal riddled with none metalic impurities. So all the organic matter had to go somewhere... where?
Also, even the game version of the Reaper has to grow. That thing is about 30 feet tall or something. Sure it is an estimate, but obviously we are not talking about something that is miles in length. Which a full Reaper is. So either it had to grow, or we are only seeing a core that will eventually be inside a full Reaper shell. In the case of the both, it doesn't matter how organic or metalic the core is. Considering it was made from sludged human, I would slide on side of organic here.

So how did it change from cool to stupid in 5 seconds? Not making any sense here.

Particularly the stare the human reaper gives you before diving back into the pit. I don't know what my face looked like, but it had to have been something along the lines of O_o

The Terminator was cool for like 5 seconds, then I just facepalmed. It was stupid, lame and I think Bioware watched Terminator 2 when they where making the game.

Well I knew it was coming because of the spoilers on this forum... but I did not expect it to look like the frigging terminator. The concept art is amazing though. I would have been awestruck if I saw something like that appear.
Thats my feeling, they should have just kept the orginal look, not a Terminator wannabe.

Actually the original Babyfetuswhatever thing just looked stupid... I mean... how the hell was that thing supposed to be a reaper?
I don't say the Terminatorthing was the best that could have done... but it was better then this fetusthing that absolutely made NO SENSE at all... while the Terminator made a little sense...

Aye, as for the Thorium arguement people launch against the original concept. They could have just changed the battle mechanic and encounter and still keep the original look. It doesn't have to be like the Thorium fight. Considering they changed it to a Terminator it means they did change something. So one way or another work would have went into this.kraidy1117 wrote...

The orginal design was nothingl ike it is now. The boss battle would have been alot diffrenty because there was no big ass arms swining around.
