The orginal design, which when someonep osted here, only a couple of people did not like it. The orginal design was better.

As opposed to what? Something that doesn't look even vaguely human? It's not a Terminator. The Terminator just also happens to look like a metallic skeleton. Terminators don't have three eyes, a mouth-mounted miniature Thanix Cannon, or horrific tentacle pincer fingers.

You're taking the easy way out by being unable to come up with a more articulate argument against the current final boss design than "Iz terminator guyz."

Thank the gods you've arbitrated that looking anything like a Terminator is bad, too, otherwise somebody might have actually formulated their own opinion instead of jumping on the same bandwagon you're so desperately clinging to.

Theres many ways, they could have made it a diffrent color, could have given it  four eyes, could have given it four arms ect. Instead they used a design too similar to a Terminator, which shows they did not give alot of thought into it's design.

Well, it IS based upon the human form, just as a Terminator is for purposes of infiltration.  Either it looks pretty much human, or it doesn't.  There's not a huge amount of room to move if you're going to declare it as a human inspired reaper.

So, in a nutshell, the bulk of any complaint about the in-game human-reaper form is the fact is look like a human-robot, much like a terminator does?  ie. it's "been done before!".  If so, why not complain about the Cthulu appearing Reapers as "being done before"?  Gigantic cuttlefish are "cool", but gigantic robots aren't?

I guess I'm not really sure I understand why it draws so much anger.

Anyway, I just played the final battle again today, and I still think it's pretty anticlimactic. Finding out that the Collectors were gathering humans to build some f'ed-up reaper/human hybrid is a great twist, but it's all downhill from there. There's no explanation given that makes a lick of sense, and it's one of the easiest, if not THE easiest battle in the entire game. I could live with the fact that it looks like a gigantic Terminator if it somehow made sense, but the real problem to me is that it seems completely shoehorned into the game both in terms of gameplay and story.

one thing im not sure on. if i understood what happened in the game...the new reapers would have been big ass humans flying around in space? would we get to see lazer beams from the eyes?!

Did a quick google search, and found these:

Just look like minor variations to me.

The one to the right of the first picture doesn't look like it could fight in any meaningful manner.  Creepy, I'll grant that, but I completelty understand why that thing would not translate well into an end-game boss fight.

The other appearance, left side of first pic doesn't look like it'd be able to haul itself back up.  Looks more like a true cross between a cuttlefish and a human, but again, fairly difficult to implement it in-game as an enemy that attacks a ground-person in a plausible fashion.

In short, I understand why Bioware took the direction that they did, even though I agree that the art work looks creepier.

The same people who have criticism for it are the same people who think TIM is a reaper. Those are the same people who only do the main missions and some how die at the end of the game. Same people who by some sort of impulsive nature make an bioware account and post ****** comments that are almost completly wrong. . .

I was a bit like ...........wtf ?

The whole organic thing to reproduce a reaper was a reaching a bit after the "puny organics, we machines will kill you all" Sovereign speech from me1.

Then I realized Bioware must have been sold to a Japanese firm and I went with it.

When the thing slammed away a floating disc I had just been standing on I was going "Yeah baby, awesome".

That all said, it was stupid and not the ending I'd have wanted, but I don't mind much. Very nice monster though.
