Are you insane? Shaving sucks! The elves are blessed.
Says the guy who obviously has never shaved anything other than his face.
Shaving does indeed suck.
I think you should be going after the priestesses instead. Everyone knows the templars are just drugged up Chantry footsoldiers.
My point was that as someone who has to shave her legs and such every couple days. I'm allowed to complain about how annoying it is.
And the reason why you don't mind it is since you obviously have never shaved anywhere else.
Damn elves. They don't need to shave. /jealous

I may have a perverse mind but it did not sound like you were referring to leg hair.

Yes to males having facial hair, no to females. I personally wouldn't mind having facial hair on my male elves, looking similar to either the Egyptian braid beards, or something like what Marco Hietala is sporting. That or go with the Confucious look. Catfish whiskers? Yes please!

I think they can't have them because elfes are mytical creatures that dispite having one bigger sex, they allways have a big connection to both sexs so they allways have meterosexual features.

But why not? Why must they all be strictly metrosexual? Humanity has genetic differences that lead to huge changes in physical form and development. Why cant out elf be unique in the fact he is completely masculine? This does suggest a male elf could have female parts aswell however if he became unique.Shayaryn wrote...
David Gaider already said no elf beards. Which is a good thing. Why Sarel has stubble, I have no idea, but according to Gaider, Dragon Age elves cannot grow facial hair.

Sarel seems to have some real issues with human arrogance. I imagine it angered him that humans had manly beards, so he set out to magically grow one for himself... but, being an elf, there was only so much magic could do.Shayaryn wrote...

2. The lead writer could change his mind. Elves evolve and masculinity and femininity became more defined in elves

I questioned this myself a while back, and also was the one to aquire an answer from David Gaider pertaining to elves and beards. My original version of the City Elf mod had stubble, but after this comment, V2.0 removed all stubble:
David Gaider wrote:
Elves do not grow facial hair -- period.
For one, I think the elves already look a bit too "human" as it is.
I think we'd want to distinguish them *more* from "humans with pointy
ears" rather than *less*, to be perfectly frank.
On a personal note, given this information, I still play my Elf with stubble. I just consider him a weird genetic anomaly.

There is a problem you haven't considered. With the elves being vertically challenged in this setting, if we added beards as well they could end up looking like Santa's little helpers
And no one wants that

the first thing is an internet joke, and yes, Gaider could change his mind, but how likely do you think that is? and elves are (can be) plenty different between genders. and Stippling's quote of Gaider that says elves would start becoming too similar to humans is a very good point. I play elves to play elves, not to play shorter humans.

They are not humans though are they? Do you honestly think if they grew beards their poverty would disappear and there homeland would just be avaliable to them again. Also beards do not change your staring skills so beards make no huge difference other than a cool apperance.yasuraka.hakkyou wrote...

if you're disappointed with DA's elves, why do you play DA when other similar games will give you the options you want?
anyone else thinking this thread is ridiculous / liable to be locked / etc?

And ew about chest hair on females. No thank you.
And I can't wax, I have sensitive skin. That and it kinda scares me a little bit.
Zevran with a pimp moustache would be epic though.
