Agree that Martin Sheen sounded a bit flat, but not awful.

Sometimes I wonder how that went, behind the scenes.
"Now Ms Hale, I want you to gasp as if you were just smacked in the face by a gigantic mutant crab thing."
"Good good, now grunt as if bludgeoned by a cyborg alien pterodactyl."

You liked the story that she was a spoiled rich girl who got sick of her dad and ran away to join a terrorist organization?
Spoiled rich girl? She was nothing more than a science experiment to her father. You do recall she said that she wasn't her father's first child only the first one that he kept?
I agree with you about Cerberus and I do wish I'd had more opportunities to confront her over how abhorent Cerberus is; but she definitely scored some big points with me when I blew up the Collector base and she told the Illusive Man to **** off.

I really thought her VA was fine. Something about her character's facial appearance bothered me a bit, can't put my finger on it but something was off.

I thought the same thing. I thought the VA was spot on for her character, but watching the animation bothered me at times.

I think you just don't like her voice, because by any objective measure she brought it acting wise.

Also, (and I know I'm gonna catch flak for this) but the arse on her character model is bordering on ridiculous. I like me a nice bit of sweet, sweet candy as much as the next man, but the arse on Miranda is kinda ridiculous. Genetically perfect or no, it's just too big. So big in fact, that several small sateliites have become trapped in it's gravity well.
Wow.
Blasphemy.
Why does everybody like the skinny no curves women these days? I swear guys like you make me throw up a little in my mouth.

I don't like that story...but since that was nowhere in the game and you just made it up it didn't bother me much playing the game.
I know reading is hard dude but the VOs read the lines for you.

I agree about the facial animations. To me I think it was the eyes, they just weren't expressive enough. They were pretty; but they didn't convey her emotions as well as they could have. Liara's eyes for example were remarkably expressive in ME1 even though the graphics weren't nearly as refined as in ME2. A bit more emphasis with her eyebrows would have done alot to make her more expressive in my opinion.
I disagree about Sheen though. His character was perpetually calm and collected bordering on aloof, that's not the same as flat.

By far the worst va to me was Jennifer Hale and femshep, which is a downer cause she does voices for so many games I really expected hers to be better, but man the voice in this game just irritates me, so much so that I got to after horizon on m renegade femshep adept and deleted. I just couldn't take it anymore. I was really surprised at how much I didn't like it. I usually like her work.

So Miranda...I like the story behind the character, and her combat abilities are decent (squad damage is ftw). But, I find Yvonne Strahovski's voice acting for the character to be TERRIBLE. She delivers her lines in an almost monotone, with barely any emotion. It's all just...flat.
Which really sucks, as I wanted to like Miranda. I watch Chuck regularly, and she seems to do that role just fine, so I was kinda excited when they announced she would be voicing a ME2 character. Maybe she's just not as good at acting when she's just reading straight from a script and not on a set? Or maybe it's that she is better at acting when not using her native Aussie accent? I dunno, but whatever the reason, I wince often at her deliveryI guess being in the very first scene alongside Mr. Sheen didn't help. His quality voice acting just made her flat delivery stick out even more. Hell, just about the whole cast is amazing, 'cept for her. Makes me hope that she gets a very minor role (if any) for ME3.
Your opinions? Who likes her voice acting? Is she anyones favourite character?
Ok, maybe its cause you arent an aussie?
I am Australian and i pick up on her tone changes and emotional reflections in her voice...i think this might just be a case of you being unable to fully grasp the accent...if so, dont feel bad...youd be suprised how many people do it, or think we arent australian because we dont have the steriotyped Aussie voices.
