>.> i should really look at her face more often and less at her...erm...yeah, anyways. Joking kiddies.

She did fine and the way she speaks suits the personality of the character perfectly (to me).

Yvonne did a great job, just like the other voiceactors. All those people complaining haven't heard any really bad voiceacting, now did you?

I thought she sounded great. Her character was supposed to be serious and focused on the mission at first, and thtas all i got to back up what your trying to quote as "monotone"

Everyone has their opinion i guess

Imo, Strahovski's voice acting sounds kinda soulless in comparison to Liz Sroka's (Tali) or even Lazarre-White's (Jacob, though he also sux).

I found the acting to be well done, at least I got no complaints. Her flat voice level did well to underline her cold personality.
I found the accent to be interesting. As a native unknowing german, I have to ask: from what part of the world does this accent come? It sounds british, but just not quite enough....

Her voice acting in the game is decent if not good. She's better in Chuck however, but that is because she is superb at using her face to show what her character (Sarah) think. This is not seen in the game, and I think this is what is actually bugging you.

I don't want to hear hear Master Thespian *ACTING!!!* ™.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you do since this consists of the majority of the VA cast.  'Thespian' and 'over-dramatic' are not synonymous.  Some of the best actors (whether VA or on-screen) have some kind of background in theatre.  Your sarcasm isn't helping.

http://www.dvdtalk.c...-of-jon-lovitz/

Master Thespian - One of Lovitz' signature roles on "SNL," the Master Thespian lets his biggest strengths shine, especially when matched up against John Lithgow, who portrays his mentor, Boudelaire. They one-up each other again and again, making this one of the best and funniest sketches on this DVD.

http://snltranscript...dthespian.phtml

Master Thespian: "Dear Diary: I am awaiting the arrival of my mentor and acting teacher, the great Baudelaire. Today's lesson is costumes. Knowing Baudelaire, he will come over and try to fool me in some silly disguise. But today, it will be I who fool him. I hope. Until tomorrow, Master Thespian." [ a knock is heard at the door ] Yes?

Voice at Door: [ mimicks trumpet fanfare ] Make way for His Royal Highness, King George V!

Master Thespian: One moment! [ jumps up ] Thank God! The King to see me! [ before the door ] Enter all!

Baudelaire: [ enters, disguised as King ] Thank you! I am looking for the greatest actor of all time! The theatrical community of all London told me I might be able to find him.. here!

Master Thespian: Yes, your Majesty! The man you speak of stands before you!

Baudelaire: Ah-ha! Then you must be the great.. Baudelaire!

Master Thespian: [ insulted ] Don't be silly! I'm Master Thespian. Baudelaire is merely a teacher.

Baudelaire: Merely a teacher?

Master Thespian: Yes! And barely one at that.

Baudelaire: Oh, really? Why don't you try saying that.. [ removes crown ] ..to his face!

Master Thespian: [ fooled ] Oh! Baudelaire! You fooled me!

Baudelaire: Acting!

My GPS has a selection of voices... I choose Australian Jill, who I modified her phrases slightly and renamed Olivia.  :)

First hearing her voice was weird, mainly because I'm not used to hearing an Australian accent in things like this and the contrast between the Aussie and the Yank accents is fairly jarring at first. But after playing it for a little bit, and getting into Chuck and in particular hearing Yvonne speak in her normal accent as herself, it sounds completely normal.

I think the voices fit the character's perfectly. Great casting...

The only one that bugged me was, FemShep. Jennifer Hale does excellent work. But, her FemShep just really bugged me.I didn't even get to Freedom's Progress before I exited out.

I think you need to read beween the lines a little here. Wilson's logs on the station indicate she's an "Ice Queen" after all...

Miranda is not supposed to be "normal." She doesn't feel normal, she feels like a bit of a freak. She's not quick to trust, and she's got issues. You don't really think her "father" treated her like she was his "daughter" do you? There is implications too terrible to fathom, but it seems to me he likes his girls a bit on the young side...he was looking to "replace her" with a younger version of her (probably more compliant as well).

Once she gets to trust Shepard, she warms up nicely...does she not?

eh, some people just have flatter voices than others. i didn't think anything except "lol VA diversity" and moved on. i don't mind it at all. i mean, tali's voice goes all over the bloody place. people are just different. :P
