I don't even know what to say. Do you just not like the female form? What about shirts is so appealing to you?

How about not liking a ridiculous nipple harness that looks like it chafes like a ****?
You know if she went topless it'd be one thing, but the harness is tacky as hell.

How does throwing on a vest - not taking off the harness, of course, just applying more pressure to it and making it even more painful to wear - help the situation? At all?

Who said it was ideal? It's just better than the default. Black harness on black vest, it hides it most of the time.

I fail to see how that's better, since it also removes the excellent view of her body that the harness allows.

If you want an "excellent view" she might as well go topless.
Also, that's your opinion. I for one don't consider a torso riddled with crap tattoos to be an "excellent view".

Topless isn't an option, at least for the 360 (as far as I know.)
And it's an excellent view compared to no view.

Honestly if she had gone topless I wouldn't have had much problem with it.  The nipple-straps were just weird.

*nods* Jack's original outfit wasn't sexy at all, it just announced that she had no self-respect. The loyalty outfit is much more attractive.

This.

Not liking female forms has nothing to do with subject you are quoting on...

Yes, it does. Well, not "This," but the thing "This" was referring to.
Saying that someone is more attractive when they're wearing more clothes implies that there's something wrong with the body underneath them. In this case, the "female form" of Jack.

It's hard to explain. For me there is nothing wrong her body, but I also find her loyalty outfit more attractive. It's sometimes sexier when there's a little left to the imagination.

Jack's outfit is weird to me too and I like the 2nd one better, but I'm more often distracted by the realization that Jack is Juhani :o

Samara's outfit bugs me alot more than Jack's though, it seems more sexist to me.

Sexist isn't an appropriate word in this situation. Which might sound odd coming from me, after all the hubub there was a while back...but still.

High heels, fake boobs, and the skin tight costume that doesn't fit thecharacter at all...screams sexism.

Jack's atleast makes sense enough for the character, even if it is highly awkward.

I hate Jack's alt. It looks painted on. Jack, Legion, and Tali are the only characters whose alt costumes I don't use.

It's not sexism, it's sexualisation. There's a difference.

Oh no it doesn't. It fits Sci-fi like a glove. Don't you know, all future-women will be fit and dress like that. Look at Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Star Wars, Star Trek...

Her regular outfit is more savage, more primal. I think it fits her better.

I wish it was "just a color swap," (as though it isn't one now /roll eyes) 'cause I love the black pants as opposed to the brown ones. Black just suits her better.

I would take this one over the loyalty one any day, if i had the option. Still not sure if i like this better then the original one - maybe in part due to familiarity with the original. It does however serves the same purpous as the orignal one. Showing of her tatoos while covering her up.

Wasn't Jack totally topless in the concept art? That would have been more acceptable for me than the belt thing, to be honest. But yes, I prefer the sleeveless thing over the Everquest monk harness.

Sexualisation is just one component of it. The perpetuation of negative feminine stereotypes for whatever reason they did it is where the sexism comes in.

Except those don't exist. They're purely aesthetic choices meant to make her more sexually attractive - and it's a fact that they do. If you think it goes any deeper than that, well, you're an idiot. Sorry.

It's too show off her tattoos and it just so happens to make her nicer to look at. But I prefer her loyalty outfit.

Oh ha Image IPB. I'd have to agree that it's just to make her more attractive. I'm sure it helps her "diplomatic" abilities too Image IPB.

What I find interesting is that her loyalty outfit has a Cerberus logo on it. I didn't notice it at first but I just watched a video and looking closely I was very surprised.
