it loads the game and when it is transitioning from the boot up of the game to the actual game it encounters an error and says me2 has stopped working and closes it, my system is good enough for all the minimum requirements, why does it still do this then

Do you have the patch 1.01 installed?

Is there anything else to this error message like a log file?

We get that a lot. Turns out many people believe their system is good enough because "Can You Run It", the most inaccurate tool in the world, says so. Because of the amount of similar threads we can never believe someone meets the minimum requirements unless they actually post their specs. There's a chance your PC is good enough and you just encountered a very strange bug, but I doubt you'll get a useful answer if you don't post your specs.
