Photographic evidence below. The revenant is paralyzed and I'm not sure he got even one hit in. I had Morrigan set to paralyze whatever enemy my PC was targeting, and Zevran had powerful paralyze runes on his dagger, so the combination meant one dead undead.

They have a tendency to resist/shake off paralyze spells quickly. Runes work well though.
Misdirection + Death Hexes are pretty great too.

Sheesh, by the time you're that high-level, you can leave the AI to fight him and you'll still win without using a single potion.
My party's currently level 9 on hard difficulty, and going after the Juggernaut set, with the 3 Revenants guarding the armor. Ha ha, now that's hard (for me)!
The best way for me is to whittle the undead mob down until only the Rev is left, the run circles around the area with whoever is drawing his aggro, and everyone else (who are still conscious) filling him up with arrows.

I beat a revenant with a level 7 party. PC dual wielding rogue with lots of dexterity - means basically that you won't have trouble, since he'll miss you most of the time. Sten dual wielder with a sword found around (He deals massive damage, keep those poultices ready, especially after a double strike attack), Alistair with Oathkeeper and random shield (basically, he's good since deals moderate damage and can have a nice protection. If others run low on health, activate threat), Shale with damager tactics activated. Slam is a must against revenants. They get knocked back, so they lose some time, precious time.
I am pretty sure this should work well even on nightmare.

If you are playing on a higher difficulty make sure you hex them before casting any spells, on Nightmare I found it easiest just to rape them with melee to be honest.

Spells don't work very well against revenants. If you have a mage stay in the back and rely on telekinetic weapons, force field and heal.
Melee is the best way to beat them. A dual wielder with high attack/defense and armor penetration works wonders(as stated above).
