My favorite conversation sequence is Mordin giving "clinical" advice to female Shepard after she's romanced Thane.
I have yet to find something funnier or more true to character in ME2.

"I was just waiting for you to get dressed, or does Cerberus let you **** around in that outfit"

followed by

"I like her, are we still recuiting?"

Pretty much everything involving Mordin is great - of note, him singing and his advice on alien relationships.

That said, the music queues on Tali's romance and the associated conversation are pretty brilliantly done as well.

A personal favorite of mine is Thane talking to his son on the loyalty mission - specifically "I've taken many bad things out of the universe, you're the only good thing I've ever added to it."

I always find when Shepards telling someone off is really funny. Telling the council to cram it up their ass or to go to hell. Best ever is when you rough up the guy in the interrogation room on Thanes loyalty. Smacking the guy in the back of the head

Yeah, I'm a fanboy, but the Murtock conversation with Jack is one of my favorites. Never had my image of a character change so quickly in one conversation.

Speaking of the "something flashier" there's also the guy who says he needs more speed, more performance. Right out of the cheesy fast-and-furious scene.

well, before this drifts off into another 'funniest' lines thread, I'd like to add the 'romance' dialog with Samara

never a real fan of having to tiptoe around conversations to NOT romance crewmembers, but it was a playthrough to explore and I was positively surprised... and I felt bad for pressing the issue when she left...

it's a nice little gem ^_^

-The above Murtock conversation.

-Samara in Morinth's apartment, not so much for what was said, but those shots were composed beautifully.

-The entirety of Mordin's crisis of conscience.

I think Thane's confrontation with his son is one of the most memorable story moments I have seen in any game.

GUARD: You'll need to relinquish your weapons.

SHEPARD: I'll relinquish one bullet.  Where do you want it?

It wasn't a conversation, but Shepard getting so drunk he/she passed out on the floor of the men's bathroom was pretty goddamn hilarious. Especially with the turian in there going, "Wtf?"

The entire conversation with Sovereign was incredibly cool. (ME1, but still deserves mention, IMO)

The scene where Tali finds her father also was very well done. Superb voice acting.

Kal'Reegar: "There's a geth right behind you!"

Legion: "This platform is loyal to Shepard-Commander"

They way Kal and Tali react to Legion is just great

Wait... what is this Murtock conversation that has been mentioned? Seriously, I don't remember what this is. I must have seen it, but I've forgotten.

It's on the romance trail with Jack, but purely Paragon-ing the conversation in question truncates some of it, pruning out a few great lines of back-and-forth as Jack squirms and Shep feigns indifference ;)

I like the little exchange with Uvenk when you take Grunt to the Shaman... making him look like a whiner, and then headbutting him... Shep's certainly got a quad.

And while the Paragon highroad is pretty lousy in Mordin's loyalty quest, I think "Try telling that to the dead woman." is one of the best kick-in-the-guts lines out there... nothing like a real bitter slap in the face to close off a conversation like that one.

Hmm.  Then it's possible I missed it, or some of it at least.

And I always went out of my way to make her squirm in the romance dialogues, too!  That's one of my favorite parts of the Jack romance.

This recruits, is a twenty kilo ferrous slug. Feel the weight. Every five seconds, the main gun of an Everest-class dreadnought one to 1.3 percent of light speed. It impacts with the force of a 38 kiloton bomb. That is three times the yield of the city buster dropped on Hiroshima back on Earth. That means Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a b[/i[i]]itch in space! Now, Serviceman Burnside! What is Newton's First Law!
classic.
