No offense to people that love the characters in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, but because of the lack of a proper outlet for all these gushy people that love specific characters the Mass Effect 2 (Spoilers Section) category is literally filled to the brim with threads about various characters in Mass Effect 2, attempting to "save their lives for Mass Effect 3" when theres no guarantee one way or another those characters will be gone or still there.

I can appreciate liking a good video game character and I can appreciate that various characters all have ardent fan bases, what I can't deal with is having to sift through all these gushy character love threads to read actual thought provoking discussions about the Mass Effect storyline.

The people perpetuating these various campaigns to "save" their favorite characters use the Mass Effect 2 Spoilers section irregardless of having been given tools to set up social groups that center around their interests and basically bump their "save this character"/"this character for ME3" threads daily with as little an excuse as possible and it fills that forum with a lot of garbage that while I'm sure is very important to the people perptuating it, is mostly just...well...garbage to people that are actually trying to discuss the Mass Effect Storyline.

There are any number of things in Mass Effect 2 alone that are worthy of long term, intelligent discussion (Dark Energy, Haestrom's star, the motives of Cerberus, the true story of the SAN and its involvement with Cerberus...the list goes on and on)and the Spoilers forum is the only real legitimate place to do any theory crafting in regards to them, or even to just discuss various missions and plot lines within the game.

But every day I come to the forum and I have to cherry pick my way through all these fanboy/fangirl "PLZ SAVE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER" love threads and its...frankly...annoying.

It would be nice if the moderators/administrators of the social site considered moving these posts to a Mass Effect Personalities category, so these people can play "my post has more responses than yours" to their hearts content without forcing me to filter through them all to actually read something insightful and thought provoking.
