I would have just handwaved it by saying they have nanomachines in their kidneys/digestive tract that break down waste into component molecules that are recycled into the body, and only excess water is excreted (which is then collected by the suit and purified for drinking).

When they're not on the flotilla they use their suit that has a special area to store waste, it can hold several days worth of waste and they can then use any bathroom, sterile as non sterile to dump it without being exposed to the surroundings. 


It sounds gross but well.. that's how they do it. Just read this in Mass Effect Ascension

According to Codex entry, The poop isn't flushed really on the Flottilla,collected for fertilizer I believe.

Written by the lead writer of Mass effect (Literally the source of "Cannon") I'd certainly say so.

this reminds me of the darth vader question of how does he go? if i remember correctly with vader he had some sort of thing in is suit that basicly nuerolizes it
