I like to keep a backup of save files for certain games and do so by copying the files onto my memory card. I had no problem doing this with my Mass Effect save files but for some reason I am prohibited from copying my Mass Effect 2 files. Does anyone know why this is the case? I'm a little bothered by this as I have the feeling my 360 will crap out on me eventually and would really like to know that my saved games will be there for ME3. Couldn't find other topics addressing this but if this is a repeat question I apologize. Thanks for the replies.

You can't copy the files to a memory card but you can move the files to a memory card.

I have the same issue. Moving the file won't help because we need a backup. All I see is one file on my 360 for Mass Effect 2. There is one other file that is the "Importer" but there are not any individual save files that I can see like I could with Mass Effect. Is there only supposed to be one file or am I missing something? If there is only one file, I don't understand why you guys have it so that file can't be copied. I want a backup of my game in case my hard drive fails. If it failed, I would lose all almost 20 hours I have put into this game because I can't make a backup. I would also have to completely start over after making a significant investment in this game already which would not make me happy. It makes no sense to me, and I wish you would fix that in an update or something.

Moving files isn't a good way to back-up your files, I want to COPY it.
Sometimes I hate the tight control Microsoft has over the 360.

Kim Stolz: I followed that link and it leads to a discussion about character glitches, unless I missed any posts addressing the copying issue. I am annoyed at not having the ability to back up a game that I've invested a lot of time in and I wonder what the reason was for prohibiting XBOX players from doing such a simple procedure. It's funny to think that my Shepard may have lived through the first two games only to "die" from shoddy Microsoft hardware.

You are one of the most amazing Mods I've seen there on forums. So social and only restrictive and harsh if needed.
