It's sad to think that the old companions from Origins won't be joining the journey in Awakening (well aside from Oghren i guess...)

Hopefully they come up with others to compliment the old ones.

Mhairi- Allistair?
Anders- hmmm kinda reminds me of Zevran. )
Valena- Morrigan and Wynn in one body =))
Oghren- `
Sigrun- Stehn with a lil bit of Shale. )

Hopefully we'll have a werewolf companion to replace our DOG or...wait for it....the Lady of The Forest

Yeah I'm hoping for a diffrent kind of creature to join the party...why not have a one of the disciples join the team? A darkspawn seeking redemption for all the atrocities he has done...etc etc... ahahaha

Who do you wanna see beside you slaying darkspawn??

You could just as easily say that the new Companions represent some of the characters players would have liked to recruit, but couldn't:

Anders-Jowan. Yes, Anders is more confident, funnier and hates Blood Magic, but both strike me as impulsive, potentially dangerous apostates on the run. Also, Jowan was initially planned as a potential Companion, and I belive David Gaider said that a Companion Jowan would have to be "less whiny".

Mhairi-Cauthrien. Both rose from humble beginings and have a little hero worship going on(Cauthrien for Loghain and Mhairi for the Grey Wardens).

Sigrun- possibly a good version of Jarvia.

Velanna- she strikes more as female Zathrian than Morrigan, with her near fanatical protection of family and nature.

Nathaniel Howe- a slightly less evil Rendon?

Justice- no clue yet.

It was stupid enough having Legion in ME2. Hardly anything happened, considering everyone hates Geth.



If we do get a darkspawn companion, he better have a covered up face or something, so theres at least a decent explanation as to why nobody gives a **** theres a darkspawn walking around their town.

I still want to find out more about Nathaniel. I can pretty much see him and my HNF having a love-hate sort of relationship. Possibly even to the extent of her cheating on Alistair. But that's storywise here, not in game.

I have so many ideaaas. And not knowing is making me twitchy.

A lot of people want to kill him the first chance they get, but I think there might be too much potential there to waste it by killing him right away. Maybe he'll pull a Bishop on me late in the game.

Well. That part is more of for female PCs. I imagine it'd be possible for there to be a lot of tension between the two characters, and very strong emotions involved. And we all know how quickly that line of hatred can be crossed in situations like that.


I don't think any of my characters would want to kill him on sight. They'd want to fix things up, and set him straight about what happened. But kill him? That's a little extreme. Even if he did kill my guards. Bastard. ~grumbles~
