 Kill the crew !
Yes, I mean let them all die. having yeoman Kelly goes all gooey rather than colonist Lillith(who may or may n ot have been ashley's sister) is preferrable.
Why ? Because, as noted elsewhere, there is ample evidence to strongly suggest that Kelly is, in point of fact, an agent of TiM, whose goal is to supplant Shepard as the loyalty base for the team.
In my playthrough where I deliberatley got the crew melted, what I was left with at the end was a solid core of crew whose loyalty is beyond question.
Conversations with those who did the melt on Collector Station revelaed that they were primarily loyal to TiM and Cerberus NOT Shepard - The cook - The crews quarters eavesdropping on the new father, whose family's safety was soley dependent upon TiM & Cerberus - The female engineer who decired her male counterpart getting 'chummy' with Shepard - In melting the crew you lose only that which would have betrayed you.
Consider also the aftermath of what has happened - No matter how you played it, if you blew up collector station -TiM is after your ass - You are, effectively, a rogue ship that everyone is going to, at least initially, interpret as an agent of Cerberus. You will need to hand pick replacements for the melt  losses. and the very best you can hope for with TiM and Cerberus is an uneasy detente - the reality will more than likely be outright hostility - but who is TiM going  to 'complain' to that you stole his ship ?
The other facet to consider is that oh so mysterious empty spot when you view the team,  there is room for one more by design - while many have sepculated that this spot was meant for TiM - I dispute that as totally insane - even had you kept collector station, he'd never leave his sunside seat and risk himself.
So i say with absolute conviction - Let the crew die - but don't forget in the aftermath to start feeding your fish yourself again.

*Sigh...*

Only thing i wil comment here in this ridiculous post is that Timmy was never ever consider as potential squad mate and this empty spot is reserved for either Kasumi or Liara DLC.

This thread is dumb. Of course kelly and the cook are agents of TIM. They are cerberus members. And if there is an empty spot when you view the team, it means you didnt get somebody. And TIM isnt after you no matter what you do to the collector station. Hes happy if you keep it (likes you even more), he is mad if you destroy it (but not "after you"). Stop looking for attention. Post something good

uhm no. It means that YOU missed the obvious - The original out of the box playthrough left you with 2 wempty roster spots at either end - they filled one with Zaheed - the other remains vacant - you also apparently either didnt see or choose to ignore the final converse of TiM and Shepard when he cuts him off - further poroof - go talk to jacob after that - TiM IS gunning for you - you accomplished his goal - destroying the collectors and stopping the colonies being taken but the reaper fight doesnt neccassirly need you - at least that what TiM thinkls.
There IS still an empty spot when you view the team screen - at the far right - exactly opposite from Zaheed another can go in - which also is the subject of a LOT of posts in this forum - how could you possibly have missed that ?
Stop hitting the psace bar so myuch in game - yer missing some important stuff.

Yes, there could be possible implications for all who shove off Timmy in C-base but Timmy as well known that Shepard become too powerfull to repeat Kahoku's scenario whit him/her.
beside for now until devs don't gives us any hints over ME 3 content everything related to post final mission time are wild speculations.

And i will repeat one more time, that last right spot is for incomming another DLC character and this could be Kasumi the Thief or Liara T'Soni.

Yeah, but you also lose Gabby. Ken is boring without Gabby.

Wait, are you implying that you don't lose Kenneth, just Gabby, if everyone else gets molten down?
(Because I would have sworn the only member of my abducted crew to make it out alive was Chakwas)
If so, I'm definitely not going to rescue them, the only reason I was going after them was for Kenneth's random banter (I'll miss Gabby, but I can live without her), Kelly can burn, bringing Scale Itch onto my ship and trying to be a psychiatrist. Wouldn't suprise me if she really were an agent for TIM.

The last spot is Kasumi. Her full dialogue lines are inside the game if you extract the sound files.

As for getting rid of Kelly, do you seriously think she is a threat to a crew who
i) you just saved from being goo (even the cook is bloody grateful)
ii) is piloted by your loyal henchman, staffed by at least 3 who follow you personally, not Cerberus
iii) Has a galactic assassin, thousand year old Asari justicar, the perfect krogan, 2 of your (combat capable) pals from days of yore?

Even if Jacob (Damn unlikely for a Shepard wannabe) and Miranda (resigned from Cerberus) helped Kelly, Legion (Hard to see this) and Zaeed turned on you and Mordin stayed neutral, your gang would still come out tops because plus you it would be 6 vs 5

PS: Also you have Unity, they don't.

Well I have every character spot filled in so idk what copy you and other people have. And the final convo with TIm can end with you leaving Cerberus OR him just being mad at you. It depends on what you say. Also, its not implied that TIM is "after you." I think he has bigger things to worry about than chasing shepard down and I think he knows better than to chase Shepard down considering hes like the most deadly person in the galaxy. And of course he needs Shepard. Shepard is at the heart of whats going on. He is a symbol across the galaxy, he knows everything regarding the reapers. TIM cant do it himself. And I dont skip ANY conversations. I listen to every single thing in convos. I've listened and read almost every codex entry. Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time. I'm not missing anything important.

Better reason to let them die; getting Legion on your crew that much sooner.

Mmm. Legion.

I just finished a playthrough this morning. I arrived in time to save the entire crew, but I didn't send anyone to help them. Wasn't intended but I usually send Thane back with them, but I didn't recruit Tali this time around (so no shield upgrade) and Thane died in the debris field. So it was a tough break for the crew. Not even Chakwas made it back.

I was sad at first, but then I started walking around the ship. and it was finally quiet. No more banter about Ferris Fields or the chef's menu - and no more noise pollution from Kelly everytime I went to the galaxy map. It was perfect. I'll probably do this in future playthrough's

Hey I was just wondering how do you get Gabby killed. Like I delayed going on the suiside mission for about 3 missions one time an I only saved the doctor Chakwas. I want to get Gabby killed on my next play through to see what happens in mass Effect 3. Anyone know how to do it?

Holy Necromancy, A year old thread. Good Form. Also Delaying is a good thing if you want to kill off members.
