How much gold did you have and spend?

I'm referring to the heroic accomplishments screen, where it records the most money spent and most money at once stats. What were yours?

Thanks.

With all "official" DLC plus the Alley of Murders, on characters that can pick locks, it's well over 1000g total (spent plus amount remaining at end game). I think I have one over 1200, but that's probably almost maxed out from what I've seen.

With the ability to make and sell potent lyrium potions repeatedly end money can get outrageous.

Without cheating? About 300+. That was my first 'play-not-quite-through'. I completely failed thanks to a lack of spending.

I tend to sell everything i get pretty much, excluding items like minor injury kits, which have a cheaper unit rate for what they do, and only buy for my used characters (sorry Sten) so about 600gp by the archdemon on a recent rogue where i only used 1 companion

There's a maximum amount of gold? Like a level cap for gp? Or are you speaking figuratively?

I had close to 1000 sovereigns on my latest re-run (no DLC), much more than I ever had before... I think 1.02 may have made money easier to come by since enemies tend to drop more silver and less uselesss junk, but having a rogue that can unlock every chest in your party helps a lot more than I initially suspected. All this junk may not look like much individually, but at the end of the day it sells for a lot of money when you have dozens of pieces of generic gear to sell at one time.

At one time, about 400 sovs.

Through the course of the game I always find over 1000 sovs.

There's no maximum amount of gold, but there are only so many chests/drops.  Waiting to do Orzammar until last (so that salvaged armor is T6/T7 and sells for more), picking every lock, doing all of Crime Wave, taking money *every* chance one gets (e.g. Asunder), it looks as though the most I've been able to get is between 1100 and 1200--and that AFAICT takes a rogue PC (or one to which Deft Hands has been added with the console or a "bash locks" mod is installed, if you like playing mages but hate leaving chests unopened).  Getting high Coercion early also helps.

That number is also based on selling even the unique armor if it's not something that's absolutely needed.  (Oghren's in Cadash Stompers, Knight-Commander's Plate, and Juggernaut Gloves/Helm...so sell the Jug boots and chest...)

If anyone's gotten over 1200 total gold (total spent plus what's in party inventory at end-game) with only the official DLC plus Alley of Murders, and no potion/trap/buyback exploits for infinite gold, my hat's off to you.

To digress, I'm quite sure that selling potent lyrium potions at a profit was by design and so shouldn't be called an exploit.

You probably wont believe me, but the most ive had is 10k it might have been over that.

The charecter I upload to awakening will be made sure to have around 10k pocketed. (Seeing as I Have to pay for the keeps repairs and what not)

And no, I didn't have to hack my game or any of that balarky.

Was easy enough if you're playing DA on a ps3.

With the download Blood armour, I had around 100+ soverigns while in ostagar.

I probably don't make more than 4 or 5 hundred Soverigns the whole game. I don't get the key to the mages chest in Ostagar, and I can't download the blood armor for some reason, so I can't sell it. I never play a rogue, so I have no lockpick until after Lothering. I don't pickpocket anyone or do any of the sketchy quests. No Mercenaries, Crows, or Mage's Collective. Well, one Mage's--I can go find the missing mage. I don't take the lyrium in Orzammar or most of the offered rewards throughout the game, unless there's a good roleplay reason to do so. I don't kill the high dragon, and some playthroughs, I keep the deaths of it's young to a minimum. All in all, money is a problem, but on purpose due to character choices.

Edit: Stats as of Landsmeet for this playthrough--a little higher than I thought:

Money spent-563
Most money at once:-126

Do most of you find that this is the best way to make cash?

If so where is the best place to get the supplies (buying them not finding them) for making the potent lyrium?

Also, is there a decent profit margin for the other lyrium portions, not just the potent? Haow about health potions?

Thanks!!!!
