I like the hacking games. However they are so easy to do, and feel very unrewarding. Just like in ME1. I mean they are SO EASY. One simple and easy way of making them more enjoyable is have the game push you do complete them quickly. I know they already have a timer, but that timer is stupid. You have more than enough time, and you can buy upgrades for it.

Here is what I propose. You get MORE money/minerals the faster you complete the hack/bypass. For example the terminal stats blocking your access tot he funds as soon as you start the hack so you need to be fast. If you do it slow you only get 20% of the total credits. If you do it very fast you get 100%. It would push you to play the mini-game as efficiently as possible but still not making it too hard to actually succeed.

On a related note I think the 'probing' mini-game should be replaced by some kind of skill/memory based mini-game, like hacking and bypassing.

Edit: Forgot to mention that it'd be nice if that was also affected by your suggestion, the quicker you are at the mini-game the more resources you'd gain.

During the hacking minigame one often has to wait long for the various right pieces of data. In my opinion, hacking is okay and easy, bypass is easy but boring and slightly cumbersome, and the minigame in ME1 was pretty good, fast paced enough so that I sometimes had troubles on the higher difficulties. More stuff like the Tower of Hanoi in ME1 Noveria would be great, logical games etc or simple boardgames like chess etc.

I got annoyed with all the hacking and bypassing, especially since you can't omni-gel stuff anymore. This would be better, but I'd prefer if I could just blow crates and stuff apart or have some other way of obtaining money (hacking PDAs and somehow obtaining credits from them - wat)

None of the minigames were ever difficult and I can usually complete them with like 75% of the time left, without the modules. The version of Towers of Hanoi in Noveria was also painfully easy and would become annoying quickly.

After a few playthrough through the game, I wish they'd be disabled, along with resource gathering. None of those things add anything to gameplay. They are neither challenging, nor particularly fun, nor do they exist to reward a character for investing in an ability he wouldnt normally have.

They are simple tedium.

Omni-gel can burn in a fire for all I care. Your other suggestions would be neat maybe - blowing **** up instead of hacking or bypassing - but really, this mini-game is at least somewhat more productive than the X Y A B crap.
