Need Tactics Help

Does putting the line Enemy - Target of Main Character - Attack stop them from using the skills listed underneath that? Such as Target - Health >= 50% - Massive Blow? That's the thing I don't understand.

I may be wrong however.

Also, I have a tank question. All the many and varied sustained spells have me very confused. I'm not sure when to use them, or if I should dispense with most of them and use only one when I get to it. Can someone help me with that as well? I have no real problem with my tank's tactics, since it's pretty straightforward, it's merely the skills that confuse me.
Thanks in advance, and thank you, Mouse, for the response.

What I'm mostly looking for is a tactics guide, really. I'm having issues with my team. For instance, I want them to focus on a single target, the one my main character is on, but I would, also, like them to use their skills effectively, like NOT using critical shot or massive blow when the enemy has 10% health left.

I'd say what you are looking for would be
Target - Health >= 50% >>Massive Blow
Then
Enemy - Target of Main character >>Attack
Although with a 2handed warrior, I'd suggest setting him to attack the nearest enemy, The AI will spend a great deal of time trying to get into position to swing its weapon otherwise. Archers though dont have any movement and work great the way you describe. I'd recommend
Enemy - Mage >>use ability Arrow of Slaying
Enemy - Using ranged attacks >> Pinning shot
Enemy - Clustered >>Scatter shot
Enemy - Target of Main Character >>Critical shot
Enemy - Target of main character >> Attack
Shattering and crippling shots you can manually set in the event you are fighting an elite melee or high armor opponent, but most of the time I dont think they do enough to warrent their existance in a normal cycle.

Hmm... I think you're right, so I suppose if I put something before Mighty Blow on Sten, like having him use, I don't know, Pommel Strike on my character's target, then put Target - Health >= 50% - Mighty Blow, he would use it on my character's target?

Sustained skills for tanking
Threaten >>all the time
Shield Cover>> rarely useful, only protects from missile attacks, which can be done very well by other spells like Heroic Aura
Shield Defense>>useful nearly all the time, especially once the line is mastered.
Shield Wall >>useful against Dragons and Ogres
Specializations
Rally - Id suggest Self: Surrounded by 3 or more enemies >>Activate Rally. Its kind of annoying to keep up due to the sounds it makes constantly.
Aura of Pain - I dont know, never used it despite my tank PC being a reaver/champion
berserker - whenever its available if you happen to have this on a tank
If you use the Advanced Tactics Mod there are some triggers like "Majority of enemies using ranged attacks" that works well with Shield Cover, and a racial trigger that will match up with shield wall, but for the most part, plan on using Shield Defense or nothing at all and activating the others as needed.

And... so, I SHOULD use shield cover, and not just have shield wall up all the time? Even use shield defense over Shield Wall?
