I agree that the price is stupid, and personally I hate having to download, I'm too old-fashioned, and having a CD cover that can go on my shelf is part of the reason why I even bother buying stuff suchs as games, dvd's and cd's.. But sadly this is not the forum to complain about that because it is not BioWare's fault, Sony are the ones with stupid rules for expansion releases in Europe and they are the ones who are to blame for the DL only. As for the price, once more shoot your guns at Sony for charging too much for their games, EA might have a hand in it too, though I doubt it. BioWare are simply the developers, they aren't the ones making the rules

Now as the for DLC problem with the Stone Prisoner, yes.. This is the right forum and we're still all pissed off about it, because that is sadly BioWare's fault

You need to use the Game data utility:



Find DA:O in the list and press Triangle

Game data includes DLC, patches and installation files, not savegames.
So, if you had installed the game on the PS3 HD, you'll need to re-install it.

I'm nearly sure it won't change anything for this Stone prisoner bug, but I'd appreciate a confirmation...

I've tried to delete all Dragon Age related files and after that re-install game, but still Stone Prisoner won't work.

Today I got so fed up to this situation and to the price of Awakening expansion that I ordered Dragon Age: Origins for PC, because for the price of Awakening on PS3 I can get both Origins and Awakening for PC. I'm willing to play it on medium settings on my poor PC after all troubles in PS3 version. I know that I swore never buy any Bioware/EA games, but after I saw DA: O price for PC, I thought I'd give it 2nd and last chance. Heads will roll somewhere if Stone Prisoner won't work on PC.

By the looks of things and how Bioware support "works" I'm starting to believe that they're hoping for us fixing this problem without them doing anything except laughing all the way to the bank while cashing in their paychecks for doing nothing.

Just emailed EA with the exact same issue, installed DA:O yesterday on my PS3 that I bought direct from EA and the Blood Armour worked fine, the Stone Prisoner vanished from the list when I redeemed the code and it would not let me download it. It now says the code is invalid and when I goto the merchant who gave the quest the Playstation store is asking me for £11.99.

After investigating this problem with local Playstation support, they confirmed to me that registration information for Stone Prisoner hasn't been sent from EA's own servers to Sony Computer Entertainment's servers. That is the real problem why I can't download Stone Prisoner for free from either in-game downloadable content menu or Playstation Store. I believe that is the reason behind this irritating problem for all of us. Playstation support told me that when and if registration information about downloadable content is sent from EA's servers to SCEE's servers, after that I could download Stone Prisoner for free in Playstation Store.

until now .. I was having problem getting DA:O Awakening to work, because the disc wont read my DA:O game data..

so i was told to uninstall my DA:O, then re-installing it.. did that.. still didnt work..
and now i got a new problem, I cant even play DA:O cause whenever i tried to load my game, it says "missing content Stone Prisoner" since I uninstall my previous DA:O, and couldnt re-download the stone prisoner (Shale)


Now I cant play both DA:O and DA:O awakening.. AWESOME WORK EA...

In the end I got so fed up with EA not responding to my request for help that I decided to purchase the Stone Prisoner just to see if it would work, which it of course does.

Yay! Another one to the "Shale Fail Club"! The code for the Blood Dragon Armor worked fine, but my Shale code refuses to work. Well... it sort off worked because: It isn't in the download content list on the game, it's not in my download history in the Playstation Store but it IS here under Profile > Your registered game promotions. There i can see i "have" the Blood Dragon Armor and The Stone Prisoner.
I realy hope they will think of something soon...

I guess I'll join the club too. I also got a non-working code with my brand new DAO. I hope they fix this, I'm so not going to buy "Stone Prisoner" again when it's supposed to be included with my original copy of the game.

Does not work for me, its not listed in my download history as I never got the chance to download. Will Bioware ever respond to this BIG problem lots of people are having!

I've got replies from EA, but so far no fix. I'm considering deleting my game data, but I'm nervous about losing my Blood Dragon Armour. Of course, it is in my download history from the PSN store, so I should be okay.

I've deleted my game data many times and I've been able to download Blood Dragon Armour and also Lucky Stone just fine from Playstation Store's download history. So you should be ok, but can't promise it for sure considering the problems that this game has.

The good news - no problems re-downloading the Dragon Armour. The bad news - no difference on the Stone Prisoner front. I suspect its something at the other end. I think that even were I prepared to shell out £11.99 on TSP, it might not work. After all, my game doesn't presently acknowledge that the download is even an option.

I think it's very important to tell PS3 players to NOT do that.
Easy money for BioWare / EA and time left to cash it in is time not spent in fixing the issue.

I easily understand the frustration caused by this bug, but no one should paid for free DLC...
Send a mail to EA support . If they don't answer, send it again.
All PS3 players of this thread should do the same.
Use the same title for your mail. All of you.

I'll tell players within french community to do the same.
Maybe they'll finally hear you...
