Cliche story, poorly thought out world (all the birds looked the same, all the animals had earth-equivalents), the aliens were no different from humans in the end (they still used violence to win, men get to choose their women, their bonds with the animals are simple domination over the animal and nothing deeper, etc. etc.), everything was incredibly predictable, there were plot holes (why didnt the guy tell his alien buddies about the incoming bulldozers? he learned their langauge in 3 months? He was with them for 3 months and they give him a cool mount and a woman? thats just stupid). I watched it in 3D and it was a waste of money. The 3D isnt used as well as it could/should have been.)
So, yes, terrible movie, Id demand my money back if I werent so tired and exasperated after watching the boring, boring movie. Shame on the media for hyping it up, shame on the director for making it,..

I agree that its basically dances with wolves with aliens as the red indians, white man savior, invasion of ancient homeland theme, low tech vs high tech plus there is EVEN an animal to bond with (big red bird thingy vs wolf)

No it wont, because the lore he created is fairy-trash for PG-13 films.
