I think he'll be an interesting character. Perhaps even a member of my core party... if mainly for the fact that his name is "Nathaniel". I've always liked that name.

As a Cousland myself, i don't understand why everyone keeps saying they are going to kill him instantly and not even hear him talk. As far as we know, the dude is confused/brainwashed and really just doesn't know what went on. I hate the Howe's as much as the rest of you, but to not listen to his story, or let the rest of the comic strip play out , and then decide..............come on

Well from the comic we already know he is going to be a lot like (His father I think?) from Origins.
I hate Howe enough that if I'm a noble, he will probably die. I jumped on the "Lets kill Alistair" option too xD

The whole killing Howe thing is a role-playing part if you're a human noble, seeing as Arl Howe is responsible for the death of your family and everyone you knew, it might not take a lot for you to kill one of his fan boys. Nat Howe simply saying to you that he agreed with Arl Howe could easily be enough to make you wanna make him a head shorter. It's the role-playing, and the emotion the story stirs up in the player, that leads to that, and its a good thing, it means the game can inspire an actual emotional response. That's an indicator of quality story writing, something Bioware has always taken seriously, and get better and better at, that's why I'm a loyal customer.
Part of the beauty of the game is that people respond differently to things. Like Morrigan, some people thought she was a complete b**** and never followed any options to get to know the character, and many that did get to know her loved her, it's the same in real life, you have options for better or worse, people respond differently to the same things, and walk away with an entirely different experience, that is personal to them.

My HN got her closure by killing Howe, she's not going to go all (to borrow a phrase) Princess Stabbity Stab Stab on anyone who happens to share his name. Well, not without giving him a chance to prove he's not a complete [feminine hygiene product] first.
