I heard that Squad Disrupter Ammo is an insane CC because it overheats enemy weapons, but does this mean its better than the argueable best CC in the game; Squad Cryo Ammo. Thoughts?

Does Disruptor Ammo overheat weapons of protected enemies?

PS: Like that run-on sentence in the beggining.

I don't know if it would be better but I guess it could be comparable. It all comes down to how long they are overheated for. The reason it probably wouldn't be outright better than squad cryo is because enemies can still move around making them slightly harder to hit.



Also saying squad cryo is arguably the best CC in the game is bound to make some people angry at you...just warning.

Squad disruptor is insane against geth. Squad cryo is probably slightly better against organic targets.

Squad disruptor is awesome. Against geth, its second to none. Against mercs though, the weapon overheat is less frequent than squad cryo. In addition, squad cryo prevents enemy movement and adds an 100% weapon damage bonus once the enemy is fully frozen, whereas enemies don't even panic when their gun is overheating and can still move fine, and no bonus damage exists for disruptor. I use both as frequently.
