I do not normally post to forums and message boards but I just finished Mass Effect 2 and this was the first place I could think of to post my overall praise of this game. From the moment I popped the DVD in my Xbox360 I was sucked in to the ME universe. I played the original ME and it left me wanting more and now that I have played ME2 the appetite has grown even larger. The new characters that appear in ME2 are spectacular and there is one in particular that got me - Miranda (and I'm sure she has had the same affect on countless others that have played this game). If I may offer a small bit of input for ME3 "possibilities".....(I apologize in advance if I am "repeating" similar requests others have already posted)

-Longer, broader campaign. (plz) If you guys want to make a game that contained 6 DVDs and takes me 120 hours to complete I would be in heaven. The ME2 campaign appeared to me to seem "shorter" than the original ME campaign. I have not done "in-depth" exploring so perhaps I have missed many side quests. Further expanding the individual character "loyalty" missions into more than a single one, thus further expanding each character's back story would give even greater depth to the overall story.

-More involved and deeper romance scenarios (especially with Miranda ;)). Multiple "romance scenes", perhaps even pushing the envelope on the scene's actual content and having the romances themselves play a bigger role in the progression of the overall campaign (other NPC opinions/views about them, their acceptance or disapproval, etc)...hey, we're all adults here, right?

-More opportunities to play as other characters during the campaign (i.e. - ME2 - playing as Joker when the Collectors attacked the Normandy) . I think that gives a little bit of a different flavor when you get to control someone else other than Shepard for a while.

In short, I thank you for ME2 and I am hoping that ME3 will be an even more immersive experience than ME/ME2. And I am hoping that Bioware has done some planning ahead and signed up the voice actors for not only ME2 but ME3 as well.

Still trying to get Miranda to the Captain's Quarters,
Mr. X

The game is feels so short and less in depth than ME1 because this is the second part of a trilogy. Of course it's going to be smaller, you cant give away too much information and you can't expand too much on the plot without stealing from the finale.

The whole point is to set up your squad and lead into the next game, hopefully they'll release small dlc that will lead into a better transition but if not i won tbe too worried about it.

And its Commander Shepards saga, it makes no sense from a story telling perspective to allow you to play as other characters.

And the romances were lessened because of all the right wing lash back at the alien side boob from me1.

A second part of a trilogy to me doesn't equate to "short". If expanding on the primary plot is difficult then perhaps a way to gain more story depth would be to expand the backstories of the other team members through DLC. That way if the player doesn't care about their backstories then they do not have to purchase/download the content. Players such as myself would greatly appreciate as much story depth as possible.

If it's 'Commander Shepard's story' then what is the harm in viewing it from a different angle (via a different character)?

As far as expanding the romance "content" ultimately it is Bioware's decision to lay down to criticism or to push the envelope but as for me if the game has an "M" rating on it then it shouldn't be up to Bioware to censor its content just because Mommy wasn't playing attention to the type of game lil' Johnny was buying for his Xbox, and then be "shocked and disgusted" when an alien's boob appears on the screen.
