 Im going to make a CQC Infiltrator after i beat my Engineer and i was wondering, should i try it with the EVI or with an AR? I"ve already decided to not take the widow, because with the widow i know i'll fall into my infi ways of headshotheadshotheadshot.

Just wondering what you guys would think was more effective

I'd go with the evi for variety.

You could always resort to hosing 'em down with an SMG if autofire is needed.



However, insofar as CQC goes, I'd go with the widow.

Point blank noscoping shot is hilarious.

Reload/melee just like a claymore.

If you get the Evis then your playstyle becomes a lot like a vanguard where you spend most of your time getting in their faces. Cloak would serve as your "portal" through enemy lines. It also provides you with a deadly close range weapon, completing your arsenal with a Shotgun at close range, Heavy Pistol and SMG at middle, and sniper (preferably Viper) at long range. Mine is definitely not a guide, just some cheesy videos of me running around in people's faces. Go to Jaekahn's guide for the info behind it all. To elaborate on a little of what he said, the AR would not benefit you as much as the shotty since you already have the SMG which does very well. It's still my weapon of choice on my Infiltrator, but the shotgun can help vs. enemies with tons of health that you want to stunlock.

Pfft, your thread offers specific information about the CQC and the videos give people an idea of what to expect or do while playing as a CQC, even if it wasn't in instructive format like Gatsby's usually are. I think it is equally as informative as my guard for the Agent build.

I think that thread died a little while ago. I slacked off and started doing the combat basics guide and haven't had much of a chance to update it like I wanted to. Maybe you could just link the videos in your guide somewhere in the corner and we can let that other thread go...

I would (and do) go with the shotgun. Between the Tempest, Carnifex and Viper, I don't think an AR would add as much to the experience as a shotgun would.



And cloaked shotgun headshots are amusing.
