Sentinal is the only class I never liked in either ME1 or ME2. They just lack the offensive punch that I enjoy so much in video games. Tech armor is cool but I never made it to Illium with this class. I played on a friend's save with a late game sentinal (at the collector ship). It was much better. The extra weapon really helps out and having more powers makes things interesting. I still would say it's my 5th ranked class in ME2 (only beating the adept).

When you say "lack offensive punch" is that a psychological thing due to weilding only pistols and SMGs?
Because, in my experience, only the Soldier and Vanguard have as much offensive punch in the early game as this.

I'm currently playing a Sentinel for my Insanity run and i'm having a blast! Like the OP, i'm used to playing an Engineer and spamming my drone constantly but i like the nice balance of tech/biotics that the Sentinel has. I'm using warp ammo cause i thought that was the most thematic, being a partially biotic class and all.



My only gripe about the class is the long cooldown for your tech sheild but it offers a great deffense and it's if you use it when you sheilds are down and you got half health it can really save your ass.
