So i'm trying to download the toolset to fiddle around with but to do so I have to register my game. The problem is it keeps saying that i'm entering an invalid code. I've entered my cd key over and over again with and without dashes. Any ideas?
I have the Steam version by the way. It lists two cd keys. Dragon Age Origins: Deluxe CD Key and Dragon Age Origins Preorder CD Key. Neither one of these works.
Thanks.
Can't register the game.

The exact same thing is happening to me. I have the steam version and the bioware social site will NOT accept the key.
The bioware site says the key should be in the form 1111-2222-3333-4444-5555. But the steam provided key for Dragon Age only has 4 blocks 1111-2222-3333-4444. Could this be the issue? Has anybody else successfully registered a steam key that is in this format?

Try going to the configuration utility ( I think you can get to it by right clicking on the shortcut in steam ) and checking the key listed under Game tab. That one should be the key you need to register.

Its a utility to configure game settings. Try right clicking on the shortcut in Steam and it should show it in there.
If you still can't find it do a system search for:
DAOriginsConfig.exe
If you still can't find it do a system search for:
DAOriginsConfig.exe

I have had this same problem. Uh, I can't quite find the configuration utility though. Where exactly is it?

To access the configuration utility in Steam, right click Dragon Age Origins and select "Launch Dragon Age: Origin's Launcher". It might popup a window with cd keys listed. Just click on Launch Dragon Age:Origins. When the launcher comes up, click on configure. When the Configuration screen comes up, select the "game" tab. The CD key is at the bottom.

Hm, I looked in the config utility and on the back of the game manual, same code. And it didn't work. Maybe bioware's just mean.

I just bought and loaded the game and I can't register it either. I have the standard retail version. I tried with and without the dashes.

What's better is that I've registered all my DLC stuff that came with the game I bought from play.com and now can't play the stone prisoner DLC.

I am facing similar problems as well. It could be a problem with the EA servers or Bioware servers perhaps (perhaps its just a switch needs turning from off to on) so hopefully this issue will get resolved soon.

I bought DA:O DDE and DA:A tonight thru Steam. I successfully redeemed my items for DA:O DDE but can't download them , and I suppose that is because I can't register the game . Funny thing is that both keys , for Origins and Awakening are not working . And this is problem for days now ( for DA:O , DA:A and ME2 ) , and EA support says keys are valid and this is Bioware website problem , so I can only hope they will addresse this problem as soon as posssible .

I can't register the game here, but I was able to activate when I started up the game. All my DLC downloaded in the game as well. When I try to register the game on here, I just get Invalid Code even though i'm copying and pasting from the email from EA. Guess it doesn't really matter to me as much since my DLC was downloaded ingame already, but figured I would add my voice in here anyways.
