Anyone agrees? Grunt is basically an adult baby, who only cares about fighting and fighting. He doesn't care about anything else. Unlike Wrex, he had little views, if any. Now, Okeer, with his African accent, is really badass. He is one of the few Krogan geneticist, was exiled from his home world, hates other krogan. Isn't he a lot more interesting?
okeer would have been a more interesting squadmate than grunt

It would be something new.One of the rare krogan scientiests, and also a good fighter. That would be great.

Maybe I love grunt since he's the largest krogan in the game and happens to be my bio-engineered tank of doom. We already had a veteran krogan his name was Wrex and Okeer would've sucked.

I like Grunt and I think he has some value as a character (certainly he's the best looking/most unique Krogan) but I do believe his biggest drawback is that he lacks depth and intrigue. For this reason I agree with you that Okeer would have been a more interesting squadmate because his background is extremely unique for a Krogan and he didn't seem like the generic "kill, kill, kill" type

My guess is, in ME3 you'll be going around gathering allies for a showdown from various factions .. and the squadmates will play their part.
Okeer would have been ill suited for that. Though it's all speculation ...

i think grunt is way more bad ass than okeer just look at grunt made genetically from all the greatest krogan warriors ever i don't see okeer being more badass than that

Conrad would have been a more interesting squad member than Grunt. Probably not as useful.

Sadly, Grunt is only big in that one cutscene where you wake him up. After that, he is exactly the same height as all other krogans, and is actually somewhat smaller because he lacks a tall hump. If Grunt really were as large as we are supposed to think he is....the red boon wrote...

I prefer Grunt. To say all he cares about is fighting means you've missed the point of his character. Grunt's is a search for identity and purpose. The image implant program didn't really take, and thus all of his "memories" are a bunch of pictures he feels no real connection with. He does happen to really like fighting, but without a reason to exist it is all he finds himself able to do, and doesn't care if he lives or dies. The difference Shepard ends up making is a reason to care, a reason to win battles and not just fight them.
EDIT: Okeer would have been pretty cool, mind you. Doubt he would have had as awesome a loyalty mission, though.

Rosie O'donald is easily the most frightening krogan out there.

Mordin already fills in the "Scientist role." Okeer would have been redundant.
Still, I find Okeer would have been much more interesting to talk to than Grunt laughing about killing Turians.

Miranda is also a scientist, isn't she?
but in terms of Grunt or Okeer, it could be interesting if it was a choice to save okeer or leave him to die and take Grunt instead.
It could be one of those major decisions that would have dire ramifications in ME3
Grunt is tank bred, Okeer is hated by all krogan

I guess Miranda is everything. Soldier, spy, etc...
.
Anyway, I agree with the Topic. I said this here a few time ago. Okeer would be a very different Krogan, not those who just want to fight.

I think Grunt is cute! I love the way he beats his fist into his hand right before a battle. It's sooooo precious!

Grunt is a dull character, any number of characters would have been more "interesting" to take along.
In terms of utility though, Grunt occupies the place he needs to on the battlefield. What would Okeer have been? A light tank with tech abilities? We dont need that...thats covered by other characters. We needed the token Heavy Tank/damage sponge character, and thats the practical niche that Grunt fills.

Okeer would have been more interesting, but Grunt provided us with an insight into Krogan culture, mainly why they want to kill everything that moves. And he lets us see Krogan adolescence and their coming of age ceremony. So they are really both interesting in their own way.

Okeer cannot tackle Scion. Grunt wins.
But seriously, although Grunt is not as good as Wrex, he is still pretty cool.

I was about to come in here and ask you to post that vid!
No, Okeer would just die and leave a video message for the Scion. :innocent: <That's Okeer in heaven smiley.

I would have a liked a choice, such as extend the mission a little further and choices you make would determine Okeer's or Grunt's survival.
