I am interested in what they do with Zaeed. I mean hes the first downloadable character for mass effect and (considering  hes loyal to you if you did his mission at any rate) he should be in mass effect 3. I doubt this but its a nice thought since id take zaeed over almost all the characters!!!(except Tali,Mordin, and Garrus

But honestly i have a feeling that some characters will still be squadmates in ME3 the only ones that wouldnt would probably be

Samara-considering she said shed leave once the mission is done(or try to kill you if your renegade)
Thane-disease will probably screw him over which is a shame cause hes a great character
Mordin-sad but hes getting older and if Bioware pulls off another X years later thing he will probable be dead...

The remainder of the squad will be filled in by completely new squadmates or minor characters from either ME1 or ME2 who could not be killed in any way. Furthermore, any ME2 squadmates who lived will have small five to ten minute cameo roles.

Would not sell.

ME2 proves you wrong.

It's because people are assuming the squadmates who didn't rejoin you will be there for ME3. If they wont, the sales will suffer.

Besides, all wrex fans know that wrex has an important task of uniting the Krogan.

I personally never held any preconceived notions for ME2; in fact, I went out of my way to avoid any sort of pre-release hype whatsoever. Because of this, ME2 came off as a huge improvement and an incredibly rich game, full of surprises, despite the shortcomings of marginalized ME1 squadmates.

Faith in BioWare got me through the time before ME2, and that faith proved to be justified. Ergo, faith I will retain in the writers and devs for ME3.

Oh, and FemShep FTW.

That's a good way to go about it.
