The nice thing about the editor is being able to edit the ME1 game choices. Nice to see how Conrad is when presented the way he should be from that playthrough and not the bugged way he is. Or some of the other buggy choices that made it over.

I use the editor for all the OP reasons, except for changing class mid-game.

re: the credits thing. To me, the way it is, is a joke. TIM just spent 4B creds putting you together, and likely another 4B creds putting the SR2 together, and suddenly you're running around the galaxy looking in crates for spare creds to afford an upgrade that in all logical likelihood would mean the difference between death/success in this most critical mission against the reaper threat, and all while working for TIM for whom throwing just an extra 500,000 creds your way at the start of the game solves that.

TIM: "We just spent 8B creds to get you up and running to save the galaxy"

Shep: "Great! Thanks! I'll go get those reapers. Hey, could you throw 500K my way so I can buy the weapons and upgrades needed to put down this most serious threat against humanity?"

TIM: "No. Pick through crates maggot! Oh, go do humanity proud son!"

Seriously!!!

How can you differentiate between giving yourself minerals and credits? Each will enable to you to get upgrades. "I never cheat to buy my upgrades. Only to enable me to research those upgrades!" or maybe, "I cheat, but at least not that much!". Legit my ass.

I'm guessing it's the difference
between acquiring resources in the middle of actual gameplay and
acquiring resources from a poorly designed grind that has little to do
mechanics-wise with the rest of the game.

Yes haha. The difference is that credits are slowly and sequentially given to the character, whereas you can basically have all the resources you'll ever need from the getgo. Therefore it changes the game balance to alter your credits at the beginning, whereas it doesn't alter it to change minerals, it only saves you time.

If you have infinity money from the beginning, you are more powerful at an earlier point than you would be otherwise. If you have infinity minerals from the beginning, you are just as powerful as you would be otherwise, except you've just saved time by not doing their stupid minigame.

Wow, Bl4k Ninj4, would you mind walking me through how to do that? I was really sad when I found that I couldn't pick up another gun on the second playthrough.

It sucks that it's so difficult to mod on an Xbox 360. Otherwise, I'd play ME1 and 2 even more than I already do.

Adding my 2 cents. The only reason I play it still, Is because all my character got cuztom weapons.

Tali has the geth assault rifle instead of pistol, jack got m8... jacob got the vindicator.

Garrus, grunt, Zaeed got revenant.

Miri, Mordin, Kasumi, Thane all have snipers besides their SMG's.

Amongst many many other things. Some saves have them all fully maxed out, some dont.

One of the few things BIoware needs, is have that weird inventory system we never have known that Escael??? forgot her/his name :P that he made pics... and have ammo powers avilable for all squad members, and all classes... god it would be paradise for my sentinel... just paradise....

Ok, this may be a problem, may not. I've used the editors to add the special weapons to my locker, change the weapon's values and unlock assault rifles for vanguards. Now I play and the entire squad is automatically unlocked without me recruiting them. Is this is a common side-effect? Any idea how to stop it happening?
