Yes,in thanes mission there is the viper sniper rifle that upgrades the mantis.Dr Metzger wrote...
Does seem a bit strange, isn't there a sniper upgrade or 2 that is a sniper rifle on a dead body or are the sniper upgrades just in stores?

I kind of missed sniping in ME1. Landing on a planet, finding a mountain somewhere and sniping enemy NPCs from afar was a favorite of mine. I also liked using the sniper rifle to send my squad FAR away so they won't start shooting at nothing and disrupting my aim when they hit my back.

A mass effect sniper could kill shepardt in one shot. Now, no matter what class you play a rocket at best just destroy you shields even on insanity. And that only if you arent cautious enough.Thargorichiban wrote...
Well, all of them were so enamored by the rockets and the pretty blasts that they threw their sniper rifles away...
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Disagree. Should have been nerfed a bit (1-2 shots to kill me with fully upgraded armor? Really?) but I enjoyed 'having them around'.

Give me a sniper to play with and then I think it would be even more interesting!

never had any real problem with snipers in ME1 and would have liked to see some snipers in ME2...a sniper here and there would make certain situations more intence and bring more variety....like the bridge battle in thane recruitment mission.
If you had no trouble in ME1, then you were playing at the lower difficulty levels. One Hardcore or insane, you could spend minute wiping out every enemy you could see, then emerge from cover and be instantly killed by a sniper you hadn't seen. This is distinctly not fun.

Thats why you focuse on them first. So shepardt kills enemies with his sniper in one,two shots, but enemies dont use such weapons.Absurd.izmirtheastarach wrote...
