Warden's Keep, which I had completed and was using to store items, has disappeared. Levi is back in the camp and offering the quest again. When I took the quest, and went up to the keep, Levi was within the keep but nothing else was there. He offers the dialog which usually happens after the keep is completed. Reloading or leaving and coming back have not brought back Warden's Keep, or my box full of gear.
This is actually something that's happened before the patch. In fac t, it happened to me. I had to follow the instructions Here ti fix it. Note: you'll likely lose the gear in the chest.

That is the Disappearing DLC Bug, which predates the patch.
See the DLC In Game Errors FAQ for more information.
The Patch did change some of the files which are used in the DLC authorization, so do make sure that the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service is running properly. Try giving it a manual kickstart with the game not running.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
If the service doesn't start properly after after installing the patch, running the DA Update Service Diagnostic Beta can fix the service if it didn't get properly reinstalled. It won't overwrite any Patch 1.03 changes, just fix any issues Windows is having with the service.

but, based on the memory leak fix posted a few days ago, memory problems will be platform dependent... if you PC System is running with 1.0 GB of RAM or less, i will bet you 1 doll-hair that you will see little benefit from their "fix"... although i hope i'm wrong...
If someone's running with 1 GB of RAM or less, they have more problem than a memory leak. Even Windows itself doesn't run very well with that little memory, let alone another program that would like 1GB or more to itself. Hard drive thrashing is the only way it can work, and that's without any leaks whatsoever.

Load time fix: Worked (YES!). The load times still increase, but much more slowly and it takes a lot longer for them to become even annoying, much less a major game-play impediment.
Shale Bug: "Like dusters have heard of respect: Never seen it." 'Nuff said.
What I do have is crashes. Not the warm, fuzzy kind, either. Just BAM! Game's gone (well, Windows 7, so it asks me if I wanna debug it, but it won't allow the debugger to load, so sorry, Bioware, can't get you astack trace or none of that good stuff). The problem seems to be an access violation, judging from the event log entries:

Having said that, I no longer have that poncey on-board NVidia 9000 video. I went out and got an ATI Radeon HD4670 (1GB) and a skookum power supply to power it with. Much better video card, but I suppose that the problem may be related to that change. The load time fix was fixed *before* I changed video cards, BTW.
When I was finishing my last game started in V1.02 with the 1.03 patch, I had this problem in the orphanage in the alienage, and then it went away for the rest of that game. Then I changed video cards, started a new game entirely in 1.03, and now it occurs in the really busy fights - but not the simpler ones, and not when just questing/exploring. It's not boss-related, because I did Gax from Unbound with no problems, but in the final Archdemon encounter, it crashed about a dozen times before I finally managed to finish the fight. The crash definitely seems to be related to the amount of graphic activity, which is odd, since the graphic card is considerably stronger than what I had before. Perhaps its about the make of the card? DAO doesn't like ATI cards? Dunno. Geek Me = Geek.Default; Me & (Geek.Hardware | Geek.Software) == Geek.Software;
Rest of the system:

ATI Radeon HD 4670 (1GB)

However, I distinctly remember getting the same problem as above when getting out of the orphanage (happened twice in a row), and also after getting out of the gnawed noble tavern around the same time (only once). Never had any more problems after that.
AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core
Windows XP 32bits

So now it crashes for such things as picking plants, walking through doors, zone transitions, and so forth. Pretty much anytime at all. Presumably this is Schroedenger and Heisenberg pulling my chain again. Those guys have such a weird sense of humor. I'll check that tweak guide, see what it has to say. Thanks for the info

BTW, that tweak guide is simply a user's guide to computer adminstration. Not much help to a programmer. What would be useful is knowing what the game was trying to access when it got the access denied error. On Win 7, that could be nearly anything - file, memory, registry, tcp/ip stack, even system libraries, so 'access denied' is about as useful as 'boom-you're dead'. It tells you you're done without any hint as to why or what you might do to fix or avoid it.
