Victor Wacther wrote recently (as in less than 24 hours ago) in the tech support section that they are gathering more info on bugs and performance, so i'm pretty sure there'll be a patch sooner or later.
This has been said before months ago, and still we have nothing at all to show for it. Until I actually have the patch downloaded, installed, and it doesn't break the game even more I just don't believe it. We've been hearing that same line for months and we still can't even get patches that were released months ago. I will have to remain extremely skeptical until I see some actual results simply because their behavior thus far has given me no reason at all to believe otherwise.

I really think that Bioware is an exceptional gaming company, but their policy on fixing bugs is really unacceptable.

They have said that, a few times actually. The problem is that's all they've done.... No fixes at all after six months is just unacceptable. Every few months a dev comes on one of the threads and says "we're looking into fixing things" then nothing....then more DLC, then a bug filled expansion, but no fixes.

Sadly it seems that they are more interested in PR and marketing than about actually fixing this game, I can only assume that from the complete and total lack of effort to fix anything at all about this game that they simply don't care anymore, they have our money and now they'll move on to the next bug filled release. I mean they didn't even fix the dex bug present since day one when they made the "patch" for Awakenings, it's a minor tweak that they could've easily included, but instead they released a patch only so people can play the overpriced, bug-filled expansion, which sadly added more bugs instead of fixing any.
I honestly doubt that we'll ever get to see this game working properly, the effort just isn't there on their part, they ignore us when it comes to fixing things, but want to be our best friend when they're selling things.(DLC/Expansion etc.) The gaming industry as a whole is being ruined by the greed of these huge companies who don't give two sh*ts about the games, only care about profit, then they have the nerve to whine about piracy and use it as an excuse to squeeze more money out of us and make buying the games used pointless. The bottom line is that if they want us to keep supporting them by buying their games, they need to actually support us by giving us a working product and fixing it if it's not working properly.

Then I have time to play The Witcher Enhanced Edition once more. Its in my opinion still the best game ever made using the Aurora engine (a moddet version).
To those of you who have bought Awakening and played it with bugs, I just feel really sorry for not waiting.

It shouldn't cause problems with future patches (obviously he'll review and update this fixpack as and when that happens).

Qwinn's just released his fixpack, which fixes over 50 bugs in the game including the Stealing bug introduced in patch 1.03. Please note that you should install this fix with patch 1.03. Qwinn fixes most of the little bugs in DA:Origins.

It really says a lot when someone can, in their spare time, fix all the bugs that BiowEAre has done absolutely nothing about in six months. Sadly I'm stuck playing this on my 360 because my ancient pc can't run it, I think instead of wasting any more money on BiowEAre games I'll use it to update my pc, since people with access to the toolset actually give a f*ck about fixing this game and do so, unlike BiowEAre who has done nothing but break the game more with their buggy patch for the buggy expansion. Maybe if they ask nicely Qwinn will let them use his patch since they obviously have no intention of fixing this game themselves.

It was the same with NWN2. I put it down for a year before I even tried to play it again and only after applying all the patches.
It was the same with Kotor. I shelved that for two years.
I give up.
Since it seems like the games aren't stable until they end up in the Clearance bin, I'll just
buy them when they hit the Clearance bin.
Anybody know if Mass Effect works yet?

A community modder has been able to release a fix pack and a community modder has also been able to fix the DLC items being transfered into Awakenings. Has there been any update from Bioware yet?
Thank god for the community!

The community Modder obviously loves the game, wants to do his best.
The folks responsible for patches...
Over a month ago Fernando Stated this in the Dragon Age News and Announcements
We have folks monitoring these specifically to make it easier to gather up all relevant info. Thanks to your feedback on those forums so far we are better aware of issues some of our players are seeing with the latest patch / console updates and continue to look into solutions for these or work with community members to gather up more specifics/system info as needed to help find a solution.
Thanks to your feedback to us bioware

I'm not too happy about the shattering thing. Combined with Cone of Cold's effects not lasting as long, I get the feeling the spell is pretty worthless now.
Shattering lieutenants is still semi working for me in 1.03. Critical hits don't do it, but sometimes crushing prison does. Haven't tried stonefist enough to say one way or another. CP shattering has only happened a few times (less than 10) all throughout a DAO playthrough.
