Got to agree here, this will be the three month mark as of June (this month). Sure I can understand dragging your asses when the bugs are relatively inconsequential and can be overlooked, but the crashing issues are pretty severe and should be fixed at least with some sort of hotfix, then you can waste time counting the money you made off DLC later.

Just fix the crashing,  I don't care about anything else. Qwinn just about fixed that with his mod anyhow.

Three months if you play on pc....eight if you're on a console.....sigh. I really doubt we'll see anything solid in ways of a patch unless it's just another patch for the latest dlc, those have no problem coming out with the dlc every month or two, yet somehow the fixes for bugs that have been there almost eight months are nowhere to be seen. Very disappointing, I honestly wonder if they are even working on some fixes with the sequels for DA and ME coming out and ToR as well.

steam just started to download 2 GBs of content just a moment ago. I thought bio finally released a patch but nah, it is just steam going nuts.

The glitchy engine probably needs 2GBs of code to fix it.

Make money? Well, yes, why does anyone go into business? Because they have nothing else worthwhile to do?

Of course, make money - how else does a company survive? I'd like to see how long you last running a business that gives everything away for free.

Nobody said Bioware should give anything away for free, they make money off sales of the original game and expansions and DLC, nobody has a problem with that. Customers paid money for Awakenings and there are major enjoyment-stalling bugs in the game. Bioware should patch the bugs, it has been three months. That is what people are saying.

You don't need to neglect patching and make low quality DLC to make money, you can make money off of quality full-length games and expansions, like Bioware has off Origins and Awakenings. But there is a responsibility to patch the games.

Yes, I agree they should patch the games. No argument there.

A number of people here, however, have been saying that Bioware isn't working on bugs and are just cranking out DLC's to make money. Well, they have more than one dev team. One team is working on patches while a number of other teams are working on DLC. The DLC that have been released recently have been in the works for months - possibly even before patch 1.03 was released.

They are not neglecting patching. They have a patch team working exclusively on patches. How long does a patch take to produce? I don't know - do you?? For a game this complex, it will be considerably more than a month or 3 or 6 of late nights.

Does anybody believe that DAO will get patched by the end of this year? I am losing my patience waiting this long. Bioware apparently has other things to do than fix a totally unstable game with so many bugs. Very sad.

I think they're working on something, but how far along this is, is up for debate. Questionable information gathering only commenced a little over a month ago so it's anybody's guess.

How much to trademark the word "soon"? "When it's done" was already bought by George Broussard.

I bought this expansion at release, played for an hour before giving up, and decided to wait for a patch. I got distracted by other things (SC2 beta, retrying AoC, etc) and now that SC2 beta is over was interested in trying again. I went looking for the patch only to find out we are still on 1.03... I just wish I could get my $30 back at this point since it is obvious they are not supporting the game anymore.

Come on Bioware. You are one of the last game studios that I am really a fan of. Quit dragging your feet on something that makes one of your retail releases unplayable to many people.

This is a stand alone game, correct? It is not in any way multiplayer? his is rhetorical as of course it is not. What this means is simple. You do NOT change the gameplay of MY game after release unless said patches are optional. Do not package together mods to how the game is played with patches to fix your errors in coding that make the game function. I played Origins and enjoyed it. I played Awakenings and enjoyed it. While playing Awakenings a patch changed my gameplay. Guess who didn't buy Dragon Age II? This is not your "right" but as much of the community does not seem to understand the underlying problems with such behavior it will no doubt continue. In this game and any other in which this behavior is practiced I will continue to vote with my wallet however. It is bad enough you use paying customers as your QA/QC department to find your bugs. You are not alone in this but some have noticed and find it wanting.

Still no update? Your still selling the game and hyping it with you get all the extra downloaded stuff. But what worth is it to anyone, if I can't play all the full and nifty extras. It's been over a year. Plus, why do I want to buy anything newer if you still haven't fix your older stuff?

whatever the last patch (title update) has in it ...its making my 360 console freeze everytime i load after dying. everytime.

i come to this conclusion because it never froze until i DLed this update.

sure i can bypass it by just exiting to title screen and then loading, it could be worse. lol.

but its not the way it should be.

game is on my HDD.
