I like how they changed the level up screen to allow room for more specializations. Four more specializations that is, not just the two from Awakening
whats annoying is that these changes have taken place in origins when they shouldnt have, these options shouldnt be available in origins or even be seen in any shape or form, the loading times appear to be fixed but now the game itself lags which is a bigger annoyance, i said this earlier, did no one at leats play test this patch?

What about missing elven boots in Lothering, wrong codex entries for Connor and his mother depending on how you solve the quest etc. etc.?

I feel the same about how PC and Mac customers are handled. Still no status update about whether or when Awakening, Return to Ostagar or any patch after 1.01 will be available for us. The enthusiasm that a major game was released in its Mac incarnation shortly after the PC version is fading in the community... we didn't pay less than PC owners, so some respect from Bioware's side would be greatly appreciated.Come to think of it, I'm not thrilled with the increasing change between how PCs and NPCs are handled...
Just to nag from time to time, lest we get completely forgotten. We may be fewer, but, as someone stereotyped in another thread, we have more money to waste... if only there was content to waste it on...

Good:
+ Loadingscreens are not getting longer anymore.
+ The other stuff in the description (but i had not noticed these problems...)
Bad:
- The game crashes almost every 2nd hour now.
- The game is lagging a bit now.
- Pickpocketing doesn't work anymore.
- Some issues with Shale.
The worst imo is that nothing is done with the storybugs after landsmeet (SPOILERS)...
Some of the bugs after landsmeet (copied from an unofficial mod):
- Alistair's dialogue at the city gates in the end battle. You should not have the option to tell him "You need to be King" if Anora is on the throne as the sole ruler.
- Alistair's dialogue before he kills the Archdemon. Alistair should not refer to himself as King if Anora is on
the throne as the sole ruler.
- The romance dialogues with Alistair post-Landsmeet, where Anora is the sole ruler. On occasion, Alistair
will still: (a) try to break up with you or (
- Alistair's dialogue at the gates of the Battle of Denerim. You should not have the option to tell him "You need to be King" if YOU are the one who is going to be King AND you have completed Morrigan's dark ritual.
- Riordan's dialogue at Redcliffe. Logahin should not speak if he is dead.
- Bodyguard's dialogue at Redcliffe, issue with silent dialogue and bodyguard mentioning Loghain, even if Loghain is dead.
- Morrigan's dialogue before the dark ritual, where she refers to Alistair as King, even if you put Anora on the throne as sole ruler.
- Morrigan's dialogue before the dark ritual, where she will refer to Zevran and Leliana as your "beloved", even if you are not in the Love range
- The "Where is this going?" conversation if you ask Alistar after you revive Arl Eamon. Alistar will sometimes act hardened, even if he is NOT hardened.
- In Anora's epilogue dialog she will speak of Alistair as if he were alive in case he is not.
- Alistair sometimes give the rallying speech prior to the siege of Denerim even if he is not the king.

Bioware, am I going to have to wait 1-2 months before you patch this patch so I can use my character's pick pocketing skill again?

Does that mean no Awakening then? Might be nice if somebody can confirm this as I'm not going to spend money on a game that wont run properly.

Very "nice" patch. I played it for 50h already on 1.02 (or whatever previous version was) without any single issue and now it crashed on desktop two times last hour (during the battle). And stupid steam don't let me downgrade it
Bioware! WTF?!
Thanx for the warning. I will be sure to set Steam to offline mode for a while. Your sacrifice will not be in vain...

If you get patch 1.03 you automatically get all previous patch material included, so you do not need to get Patch 1.01, then 1.01a, then 1.02, etc. Getting Patch 1.03 will update you fully.
Does this apply to all versions or just PC? The console tech support is in an uproar right now.

Well that does it for me, not downloading this patch until the problems are sorted out!

Installing Awakening will automatically install the patch, even if you didn't already download and install it. So if you want to avoid the patch completely, yes that would mean no Awakening.

I can definitely confirm pick pocketing doesnt work with the new patch as well...
Yes, it does. I played for over 3 hours last night with the new patch installed and had no issues with pick pocketing. That's not to suggest you're not having issues with the pick pocket skill, but your post is implying the 1.03 patch is universally breaking it. Do you have any mods installed?

No I do not have any mods installed. I had patch 1.02a installed and pickpocketing was working fine. Installed 1.03 now I get the "Stealing succesfull" line but nothing is actually stolen. Nor do I get the "Item received" or any money. I cleared my inventory just to make sure and nothing new showed up.

just try a saved game in the early game, in lothering, After a while the lag stars, variable fps to 6 to 30fps,
before applying the patch the game worked correctly all
the graphics options to maximum, I installed some mods, new armors, replacement of some characters's faces, no too much mods installed

You would have to remove and re-install the game. As far as I know neither 1.02 or 1.03 address anything I'm interested in (missing boots, cleaning up conversation trees and codex entries and so on) so as I'm not having any major issues (and no loading problems) at the moment I'm waiting before installing them.kingjezza wrote...
How easy is it to remove a patch if you install it (PC version) as it seems that some people aren't getting the problems, I figure the only way i'll know if it'll mess my game up is to install and actually play for a few hours but I want to know I can remove it if does cause problems.

Considering the amount of files the patch is supposed to replace, as easy as reinstalling the game. Backup your saved games, characters, possible overrides.
