Does this patch address the unloadable save game bug?  It's been documented for about 4 months, and it prevents me from playing one of my characters entirely.

I looked at fix mods, all of them are tweaking balance (which is not good) somehow. Looks like it's time to start on pure bugfix mod for me... I'm going to replay this game few times at least and there is no hope, bioware will bother fixing anything.

Why is balance important on an fps? Did the npc's complain?

I just downloaded the patch. And now my game won't even launch off of the little opening screen...

Anybody know of a way to fix this? Or how to save my characters/games if I have to re-install it? :-/

Direct2Drive still has not posted the new Dragon Age patch.

Is the patch on the Social site compatible with digital distribution copies of the game, or retail only?

It is compatable, or it should be. I've updated my d2d game from this site for each patch.

The increasingly long loading times have been replaced by increasingly frequent crashes to desktop for me. Great fix..

If you get patch 1.03 you automatically get all previous patch material included, so you do not need to get Patch 1.01, then 1.01a, then 1.02, etc. Getting Patch 1.03 will update you fully. :)

Thank you so much! :)

I played Dragon Age for several hours this evening and didn’t experience any sluggish loading. I appreciate this being fixed.

My mana and stamina bar is now infinite and cannot be depleted and I must say, it makes the game kind of easy in the end, does anyone have this problem as well?

I have installed the patch and now my dlc shows a "not authorized" -deyavue;-)"...I updated the updater manually as usual to fix this problem, but it still don't works. The only way is to get offline to make my dlc work, any others with this problem?

After installing 1.03 I didn't notice much change to the game (not even loading times). However, I did experience my first CTD while playing last night. Think I will re-install the game and only apply 1.02.

Awesome, especially if this will actually fix the increase load times problem.

Nvm, after actually reading through the entire thread im glad I didn't actually install the patch (just downloaded it). Will just wait for awakening or 1.03b. I can live with restarting the game every few hours, its a nice natural break to do something else for awhile anyway (oh look at me rationalizing like a pro!=P).

eh, I installed it. Loaded a late game save and still has a fairly long load time. That was always the issue I experienced, the later in the game I got, the longer the load times got.

I have to say that Biowares customer support is very disappointing.

This patch is almost like a virus for the game (PC). It make the game lag, get random crashes and breaks pickpocketing. No word from Bioware though.

Only a short reply like "we are aware of the problem and will look into it asap" would be great.

Of course the best would be an estimated time, and a program that downgrades the game to 1.02 as we wait for 1.03b or 1.04. But until that is possible, it would be great to at least know that the problem is temporary.

Very good to see that they are aware of the "memory leak" though. The problems seems to be gone for most players (not all), and that is fantastic. If only the patch gets a patch it will be great.

Can the team working on Mass Effect 2 be assigned to work on Dragon Age Origins? That game seems to be having better luck.

The 1.03 patch is working for me...i don't have anymore long loading screens...and the game is better optimized now. I hope that BioWare will release another patch.

From what I got from Customer Service, the only advice they have is to re-install both the game and the patch.

Since the patch is what made my PC game completely unplayable (won't load at all now off of the opening screen), I am a little hesitant to try this patch out again.

Anybody have suggestions on how to save characters/games I've been playing? I'm afraid of losing them when I un-install it.

Open up the Dragon Age folder in your documents and just copy the Characters folder to somewhere safe.
