I checked some of my Rogues after installing the patch and the poison menu is still inoperable. It boggles the mind that the game shipped with that bug and it's incredible that it persists months after the release.

Does anyone know if the poison menu works for newly created Rogues?

I note in awakenings that the Heraldry "paint" is not working in Awakenings, at least for an imported character. My character drank it (he obviously has a problem I was unaware of) and it never affected the shield. Maybe it works for new characters.

EDit: In fairness to BW, the Heraldry Paint is working.  Effects kept me from seeing the change and it wasn't mentioned in the item description after the change.  But, when the effects were rempved (various mage spells that distort the image) the shield was painted.

The only way I know of getting rid of patches for games on the 360 is to wipe your cache from your system settings (under the memory IIRC).

Edit: Also, to the above poster: I've gotten the poison menu to display multiple pages with a newly created Rogue after downloading Awakening, however, it was with just poisons, haven't tried it with both poisons and trap combined yet.

Thank you my friend. That is exactly what I needed to know.

It works if you only have one or the other but having poisons and traps causes it not to let you go to the next page...really annoying for rogues.

All my settings were reset back to default after the update. My difficulty was back at 'normal' and the brightness was back at the default 'sun is shining at night' level.

Having trouble with this one and Ostagar. Played through before the patch fine and all was fine but played through again after the patch and found that the ending didn't trigger. Not sure if its related but the only difference is the patch. Finished and have killed everything but the end cut scene doesn't trigger and the quest simply remains incomplete. Clicking Cailan doesn't do anything either. Like the post above I found all my setting were set back to default and it was also determined to bring up all the tutorial screens again despite me being half way through the game.

Thanks.  But I can't duplicate that.  I have one old Rogue (Female Dalish Elf) created under the old game but with a properly working radial menu for traps and poisons.  The new Male City Elf Rogue I started after having RTO and Awakenings installed has a bugged radial menu (both traps and poisons.  I haven't tried just one or the other.)

Unless I'm wrong, BW hasn't even acknowledged that this is an issue that they care about let alone are working on.  How hard can it be when the menus work properly for other characters?

I hadn't played DA:O for a month or so. I loaded it up last week and got the Xbox 360 update. Since then every time I start up the game I get an error message: "Unable to access your online profile storage. The game has encountered an error." Other than that everything else seems to work. I have a rogue with both poisons and traps and don't have any issues with the radial menu at all so I'm not sure what the bug is with that.

The only annoying thing is that I installed Awakenings to my HDD from the CD but DA:O menu doesn't seem to see it so it keeps "reminding" me that Awakenings is available as "new" DLC. Is there any way to actually make the game see that the disc version is installed and stop nagging me to spend $40 (waaaaay too much for this expansion, I got it for $26 at Amazon) for DLC that I already have installed?

Got the patch, got the expansions, reloaded add-ons. Everything has been running smooth so far. Just staying away from the crystals this time so if I need coin I put all my items in storage and when they come out they are dragon-bone. Viola! instant coin. I just try to be careful who I sell to so that the items stack nicely. I'm at the lands meet and this is as far as I've ever gotten without catching a corrupted save so I'm pretty excited. But yeah, so far so good : )

I play a mage but none of the rogue campanions have radial issues with poison or traps.

Grimgor 46: Clear cache would get rid of any and all patches but then you have to redownload all the ones you do need next time you put another game in. It won't affect saves or dls on your HD.

I had access to 2nd tier poisons and traps in Awakenings.  Is it possible it's not fixed for Origins though?  Can someone check?  I deleted my Origins rogue.  Bad habit from when I just had 20 G HD space.

I'm pretty sure the patch is giving me the old 'Online Profile' error I got rid of months ago. The only other potential culprit is a lack of an authentication code for my Awakenings disk. Can anyone who got DA:A as dlc check to see if Origins is now giving them the 'cannot access online profile'.  That would tell me what needs deleting at least.

I am sick of these minor annoyances. How many times do I have to fix BW/EA/EoR patch errors.

Spoke to someone with a dl version and they are getting the profile error so the problem is the patch.

Yeah I heard they look like the warden's and starfang for everyone. I waited a while but I don't think that boss dropped a damn thing. My gs reads 1375/1125 and my profile doesn't show DA as a finished game. Minor stuff I know but it adds up.

When I started a new Dalish Elf Rogue I got 3 skills plus 1 point to spend. Are rogues starting now with Combat Trainning?

The patch to let you play awakenings yes, but there's really nothing as far as bug fixes go.  Image IPB

Seems to be even more bugs now thanks to the patch.  This is the #1 reason why I have not caved in and purchased Awakening, all the new bugs.

I cant see introducing more bugs into my Origins just so I can overpay for an Expansion pack. that is also chockfull of bugs.

That's my reason as well for not buying the expansion, I spent enough time scanning threads and various sites just to find out ways to work around or avoid the many bugs in the original, the expansion simply adds more and fixes none. I was hoping to at least see the previous patches included with this one, I mean how hard is it to add a patch that has already been made months ago. Add the price on top of that and it just doesn't seem worth it at all, just seems like a glorified dlc for a quick money grab.
I really hope to see a patch actually come out to fix some bugs, and add a drop in price to that and I really would have no problem buying it but $45 for a buggy 15 hours just isn't worth it. I'm really losing hope for this game. Image IPB

Same here. There's no way I'm spending money on it until the main game's (let alone the expansion's) bugs have been properly fixed.

+1. Umm why are we still waiting, nearly six months after the release of DA:O, for bugs to be fixed and BW manage to push out an expansion. Do the developers at BW understand what ass backwards means?

You have to understand how game teams work. The team building the expansion pack are not the same devs or producers working on the base game. The expansion was planned, resources were allocated, and dev work begun on it before the Base Game even launched. I'm sure the folks who's focus is the BG are still hard at work on patches and fixes, but the resources that were allocated to the Expansion before these issues were known about cant easily be shifted back. Once deadlines and expectations were set, they need to keep focusing on the EP. Now that it's out I bet those resources were quite possibly moved back to the BG to help focus on fixes. I would be surprised if the size of the next patch reflects this.
