Who's being defensive? You should check out "ACTION" games. Story elements are not RPG elements. There are tons of "ACTION" games with fantastic stories. You should be playing them. As far as action games go, Mass Effect 2 is nothing special. In many respects it's highly inferior to modern "ACTION" games.Reptilian Rob wrote...
Well, I would love to check out the action genre............oh wait a minute their story is non-existant. Bioware did a great job with ME2, it was both an ACTION game and a RPGish title. I know some gamers are really into the whole "micro manage" every single little thing "RPG" style genre, but ME2 was a refreshing twist. Like I said, it's an opinion, I have no idea why you are being so defensive over an opinion. You know you don't have to agree with me?ZennExile wrote...

I actually prefer the new "linear" style of RPGs. You never have to guess where the hell you have to go next, and it keeps the action well paced. That's just my opinion though.Weskerr wrote...

So is the DLC out yet? Haven't been able to check, I'm anxiously waiting FF13 and have had nothing else on my mind for the past hour lol.
It seems like linearity is the new RPG, unfortunately. FF13 is no exception.
That's an "ACTION" game... RPGs are not supposed to be linear. They have a Genre specifically called "ACTION". You should check it out.
Oh, and obligatory "Go to hell ActiVsion", haha.
No sense forcing yourself to "MAKE-DO" with half an "ACTION" game when you could be playing lots of complete "ACTION" games.

Jumping way off topic here but how are you finding the voice acting? Ive almost thrown up several times "moms are tough" was the worst ever and pretty much everything Snow says is making me wish I was dead.
Back on topic, has it been confirmed if we are getting the DLC or just the announcement today?
And I think the announcment was the Arc Projector heavy weapon, which looks pretty damn sweet.

Yeah, my bad. I used to hang around the Bungie forums before I migrated here, so I'm still getting used to the polite members, haha.ZennExile wrote...

I see your point, but I really liked Mass Effect 2 for what it presented itself as.

I hope there are more N7 Armor components to get, and I hope we just don't get all the components at the beginning of the game if they are indeed armor components
That being said, I'm so grateful they're making all this free DLC, it's really quite generous of a Game company, they don't HAVE to do this really
Agreed. The fact that Bioware is making all the DLC free earns them so much respect with gamers. Personally, if they release a big DLC pack and they charge for it, I will pay for it. They have given us more free DLC than most other games have. THANKS BIOWARE.................................................but why you gotta tease us with this? Just tell us what it is!

There was a thread referring to a twitter that implied something to the effect that the upcoming dlc would be appreciated by the girl gamers, and then Thane kind of spun off of that I think. Haven't read that thread lately though.Ray Joel Oh wrote...
What rumor indicated it would be Thane-centric? That just seemed like wild speculation from my pov.
